I tend to use a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-focussed CBT, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment therapy ( ACT), and compassion focussed therapy (CFT) to help address common mental health difficulties.
I’m Pritesh, a CBT and EMDR therapist helping high-performing people break free from emotional overload, trauma, and silent burnout.
I work with professionals who seem “fine” on the outside… but feel quietly overwhelmed, disconnected, or emotionally flat on the inside. I’m not the kind of therapist who just nods and asks, “And how does that make you feel?”
Clients often tell me, “You actually get it.” That’s because I believe therapy shouldn’t feel clinical or cold, it should feel like a grounded conversation that actually helps you move forward.

You may feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, anxiety or intrusive thoughts that are difficult to switch off. Anxiety can show up in different ways, such as worrying about being judged in social situations (social anxiety), repetitive thoughts that feel hard to control (OCD), or a constant sense of tension and pressure. Some people also experience ongoing low mood, loss of motivation or emotional exhaustion (depression). In therapy, we can begin to understand these patterns together and find ways to respond to them with greater clarity and balance.

Where thinking too much is the problem I may recommend Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Therapy gives you the space to work out or simply remember what you want, what options you have to get it - and what gets in the way. We would work together to identify what you need and what changes are required to get closer to this. I believe clear advice can be helpful, drawing on experience and on psychological theory and research, but however we work it must make sense to you and be your choice. Above all, I see us as an alliance of equals with different insights and strengths. This collaboration is at the heart of successful therapy.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Counsellors
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.
What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.
Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.
How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
