You may feel anxious, overwhelmed, or caught in looping thoughts that don’t seem to settle, even when you try to move forward. You might sense something isn’t quite right, or find yourself stuck in patterns that don’t shift. I offer a calm, confidential space where you don’t have to perform or get it “right”. You can slow things down, speak openly, and feel genuinely understood. I work with anxiety, low mood, burnout, relationship difficulties and repeating patterns, including those who are neurodivergent or exploring whether they might be.

Therapy for late-diagnosed neurodivergent adults You may have spent years feeling like an outsider, overwhelmed, or exhausted from trying to keep up – only to discover later in life that you are neurodivergent, whether it’s a formal diagnosis or self-identified. A late diagnosis or self-identification can bring relief, but it can also stir up grief, anger, confusion and questions about identity, relationships, and work. You might be going through a process of 'unmasking’, trying to discover what or who is at the core of you, or why things that seem easy for others around you have always felt so hard.

I have been working therapeutically since 2013, supporting children (13+), young people and young adults. I am trained in interative trauma focussed therapy, combining cognitive behavioural theory with creative arts methods. This means I can work with post traumatic stress and complex trauma. I understand that it can be difficult to make sense of feelings, thoughts, behaviours or experiences. My aim is to help you to feel at ease; to feel safe to share your story. This might be through talking, creative methods, or being in nature; whatever you feel comfortable with.

I help them bridge this gap, turning overwhelming complexity into a streamlined path toward sustained, holistic well-being.

So many people come to me feeling weighed down by anxiety, stress, grief or the impact of past experiences. They often say they’ve lost their sense of direction or no longer feel like themselves. What they really want is to understand why they feel this way and to find a calmer, steadier version of life again. My focus is on helping you make sense of what’s happening inside, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with the person you know you can be.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Counsellors
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine, fluoxetine, and sertraline, among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
