I'm an HCPC dual registered Clinical & Sport Psychologist, with almost 20 years of experience across the NHS and private practice. I am the co-founder of a Sports Injury and Performance clinic specialising in supporting individuals with physical and psychological needs. I work with athletes, performers and associated staff who are looking to psychologically enhance their performance, as well as those who need support with psychological wellbeing and mental health conditions. At the clinic we have a small psychology team who work with adults with a variety of different presentations, not all of whom are involved with sport.

I am a Clinical Psychologist registered with the HCPC. I am also a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, with additional training in systemic approaches with AFT, and in Clinical Neuropsychiatry. Alongside my private practice, I have worked within NHS and European public healthcare services since 2019.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma, pain, sleep problems, or feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. I often work with people navigating change - whether this follows diagnosis, injury, or life event, or reflects a quieter sense that something no longer feels as it once did.

Often, individual difficulties are accompanied by the challenges of daily life, which make each person’s experience different and their therapeutic needs unique. Through short or long term therapy, I aim to support meaningful change in areas you would like to work on, with an understanding of the wider picture of how these issues may feature in daily life.

People come to me for all sorts of reasons, from low mood, stress, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, to climate and world politics anxiety. In my opinion, most people at some point in their lifetime need some form of talking therapy. You do not need to have a particular symptom or diagnosis to be suitable for therapy.
Before, during and after my training, I worked within the health, social and criminal justice sector. I have worked with organisations specialising in the rehabilitation of drug and alcohol users and prolific offenders.

“I don’t feel like my usual self, but I don’t really know why”.
If you’ve tried all the normal things you do to lift your spirits and that feeling still isn't budging, then counselling will very likely be a good option.
Sometimes difficulties from our past can pile up and need some sorting through so that they no longer cast such a shadow over the present. Talking through what’s currently going on in your life, as well as the past experiences that have shaped your world, can free you up to make the kinds of changes today that can help get you back on track.

Seeking therapy can be a confusing process; one complicated by the fact that many come during a time of crisis. I provide a supportive, confidential space where we can think openly, free of judgement, about different aspects of you and your life. I offer psychodynamic counselling and psychotherapy, both once and twice a week at a private clinic in Headington, Oxford.

Hello, and thank you for reading my profile. Are you looking for long-term, in-depth, psychotherapy? Or do you have a particular issue you need to explore in counselling? Perhaps you're a qualified practitioner looking for a clinical supervisor. I could be that person for you, if we find we are a good fit. Whichever best describes you, my work is underpinned with an understanding of spirituality as a personal jorney into the nature of suffering. I think of spirituality as a pathway to self-development. Specifically, I work with mindfulness and Buddhist psychology to explore your current state of being, in mind, body and spirit.

I am passionate about helping clients intercept 'stuck' cycles by finding new ways of adjusting and coping. Many of the clients that I work with find themselves struggling with life demands or what the World Health Organisation (WHO) typically defines as 'burn-out' (ICD-10). Quite often they feel overwhelmed, depleted and unable to find an obvious solution to their problem. They find themselves chronically ruminating about the past or worrying about the future, leading to vicious cycles of depression and anxiety. These clients require a specialised therapist who can offer brief, effective treatment.
