Often, individual difficulties are accompanied by the challenges of daily life, which make each person’s experience different and their therapeutic needs unique. Through short or long term therapy, I aim to support meaningful change in areas you would like to work on, with an understanding of the wider picture of how these issues may feature in daily life.

Deciding to start therapy can be a big decision. There are so many types of therapy out there. My view is that we all have the potential to lead fulfilling lives but we sometimes get stuck along the way. My task is to work alongside you, creating a warm, supportive and non-judgemental environment for us to figure out what isn’t working for you and support you to find more creative ways to face what life throws your way. You might have a specific goal we work towards or you might not know exactly what you need but feel you need someone to speak to. That's fine.

As well as working with individuals, I offer relationship therapy for partners, siblings, friends, and parent and child pairs.
Are you feeling trapped in patterns of behaviour that made sense in the past but hold you back now? Perhaps you're constantly reliving traumatic experiences in your mind or body, or feeling shame, self-criticism, anger or anxiety that you can't seem to change. Together we'll notice the feelings, beliefs, sensations and memories that show up for you in each moment, and find ways you can respond to these feelings that leave you feeling calm, self-compassionate and more resolved. If talking hasn't changed the difficulties you're experiencing, or your body feels stuck in past experiences, this way of working might be a good fit for you.

People come to me for all sorts of reasons, from low mood, stress, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, to climate and world politics anxiety. In my opinion, most people at some point in their lifetime need some form of talking therapy. You do not need to have a particular symptom or diagnosis to be suitable for therapy.
Before, during and after my training, I worked within the health, social and criminal justice sector. I have worked with organisations specialising in the rehabilitation of drug and alcohol users and prolific offenders.

Individuals or couples who want to explore relationship issues and work out what they want, whether in the relationship or out of it.
I see therapy as a toolbox, not bound to any one theoretical concept: it begins with a positive regard for all my clients and has to be flexible to meet the individual needs of each person in the couple relationship. I take a practical approach and at all times remain non-judgmental.
