My evidence-based approach combines hypnotherapy, Internal Family Systems (parts work), mindfulness, and body-based awareness to help you understand and transform the deeper emotional patterns driving unwanted thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
Rather than simply managing symptoms, I take a healing-focused approach to create lasting change, helping you feel calmer, more confident, and more connected to yourself, your needs and your goals.

I use psychotherapy and hypnotherapy in a flexible, practical way depending on what you need.
Do you feel like you are managing everything on the outside, but internally you are overwhelmed, exhausted, or constantly trying to hold yourself together?
Maybe your mind never really switches off. Maybe your emotions feel intense, unpredictable, or difficult to regulate. Or maybe you are simply tired of feeling like you have to “push through” while quietly struggling underneath. This is often the case for people navigating ADHD, autism, PMDD, anxiety, trauma, or major life transitions that have disrupted their sense of stability or identity.

At YouFusion Therapy, I combine deep hypnotherapy expertise with many years' psychotherapy training in a confidential, empathetic relationship that’s focused on where you are now, and where you want to go.
You were born to flourish, in your own way and on your own terms.
Sometimes the pressures of life, fueled by difficult past experiences, make us lose touch with the inner resources that make us who we are. There may be anxiety, depression or low self-esteem as a result. Relationship difficulties. Challenging patterns of thought and behaviour. Ingrained beliefs that we know, deep down, aren't even ours. Sometimes there's a persistent, niggling uncertainty about who we are, what life means and what we truly need.

I work with people who are trying to making sense of their place in the world, trying to answer questions of meaning, purpose and identity. If you're considering therapy, you may know what you want to work on, but feel stuck, frustrated, or in need of some support. You may know that something's not right but not know where to start. This may coincide with feelings of anxiety, depression, stress, or burn out. Psychotherapy is a space for you to discuss what's on your mind in a non-judgemental collaborative setting. This is a chance for you to tell your story, and make sense of what it means.

We encounter various kinds of difficulties and challenges every day. At times, it can be challenging to open up to others, therefore leading to feelings of confusion and a sense of powerlessness. Recently, many individuals from Hong Kong who have relocated to the UK have faced setbacks in their social, professional, or academic pursuits. Such challenges often stem from uncertainties surrounding self-image and self-worth while adapting to a new environment. If you find yourself in a similar situation, exploring yourself through psychological counseling can provide you with more effective means to understand and address these emotions

You may feel capable and organised in many areas of life, yet food can feel like the one place things quietly unravel. You might start the day with good intentions, only to find that by evening you're eating in a way that doesn't match what you truly want. Afterwards comes frustration, guilt, or the familiar promise to "start again tomorrow." Struggles with food rarely come down to willpower. For many people — particularly those with ADHD, or those who've always felt wired a little differently — eating becomes entangled with dopamine, emotional regulation, and the exhaustion of masking.

Some people come to therapy with a specific ‘presenting issue’ that they wish to discuss, explore and resolve. Others are not so sure what it is that troubles them - but they do know that change of some sort is vital, and they would like that change to occur sooner rather than later. Some people come to therapy with great enthusiasm. Others (particularly those who see themselves as ‘fighters’ or ‘succeeders’) might feel embarrassed at the prospect of admitting their stuckness. Whatever your current life situation, allow me to reassure you that change is not only possible, but can often occur in just a few sessions.

Hi I’m Mark,
I offer a warm, empathic and positive approach to support those facing stress, anxiety, trauma, low mood, or a sense of feeling stuck.
With a previous background in high-pressure roles and experience across a wide range of therapeutic techniques, I understand the challenges of both personal and professional life. I don’t believe in being a silent therapist—I actively engage, as I believe strong rapport is key. Together, we work toward balance, personal growth, and a deeper sense of harmony.

Hypnotherapy Counsellors
How does hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy works by using guided hypnosis to help you reach a state of focus and concentration through mental imagery and soothing verbal repetition. The state is somewhat like being absorbed in a book, a film, or your own thoughts. You are not under a therapist’s “control,” but they can help you relax and turn your attention inward to discover the resources to achieve behaviour change or better manage psychological concerns. Therapy sessions may involve guiding you through recognising a problem, releasing problematic thoughts about it, and considering and accepting more productive alternatives before returning to normal awareness. Hypnotherapy is typically used by a therapist along with traditional forms of talk therapy. Eventually, your therapist can help you learn hypnotherapy techniques yourself, so you can establish a stronger sense of control on your own in stressful or challenging moments.
Is hypnotherapy the same as hypnosis?
Hypnotherapy, which is sometimes called hypnotic suggestion, is a therapeutic technique in which a therapist uses hypnosis to help patients. It is not the kind of hypnosis portrayed in stage shows, or in movies or on television. You will not be unconscious or asleep during hypnotherapy, you will not lose control of yourself, your thoughts, or your free will, and you will be able to fully recall your experience. And while you will hear your therapist’s suggestions, it is always up to you to decide whether to act on them. Hypnosis by a trained mental-health professional is not a form of mind control, which is impossible to achieve anyway.
Can everyone be hypnotised?
The most common challenge of hypnotherapy is that as many as one in four people cannot be hypnotised. Brain imaging has confirmed differences in patterns of brain connectivity between those who respond to hypnotism and those who do not. Other people who could potentially be hypnotised may not respond to the technique because of their scepticism or resistance to entering a hypnotic state. If a therapist’s “post-hypnotic suggestion” is effective, it’s because they are suggesting something you want to achieve.
Does hypnotherapy work?
Through hypnotherapy, you can achieve changes that are real and sustainable. Like other talk therapy techniques, when hypnotherapy succeeds, it’s a case of mind over matter. Effective hypnotherapy involves self-healing because you access resources you need to change inside of yourself and learn how to tap into them whenever you need. Hypnotherapy has been shown to be an effective therapy for anxiety, phobias, stress, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder, sexual dysfunction, and undesirable behaviours like smoking. It can be used to help improve sleep or to address relationship challenges, and to aid with pain management, digestive disorders, skin conditions, and the gastrointestinal side effects of pregnancy or chemotherapy.
