Hi! I’m Amy. I’m a Chartered Clinical Psychologist. I was very lucky to really enjoy going to university to study psychology. I quickly knew it was the area I wanted to work in and so began my journey in training to be one, completing masters and doctorate degrees along the way! I’ve worked with lots of different people, including children and young people, older adults and people with intellectual disabilities, neurodevelopmental and neurological conditions. I have also worked with include both child and adult eating disorders, OCD, psychosis, stroke rehabilitation and people who have offended who are staying in hospital.

I work with clients that are often operating under sustained psychological load inciting stress, anxiety, burnout , decision fatigue, emotional isolation, relationship issues, or a nervous system that has learned to stay on alert. My clients are not looking for someone who just listens to them , gives reassurance, or surface-level strategies.
They come to me for clarity without judgement, depth and intensive short term results and a space where insight leads to real, sustainable change. I am very active in the session and offer results

My clinical experience encompasses many years working in a mental health setting and private practice dealing with a broad range of symptoms including, but not limited to, chronic trauma, loss or abuse, stress, anxiety, depression, marital difficulties, child-parent conflicts, self-harm, bi-polar disorder, addiction and border-line states – to name just some of the presenting issues.
Psychotherapy isn’t always about words because at times it can be difficult to talk. My practice incorporates the use of creative methods to aid the expression of feelings and imagery.

If you are autistic, ADHD, AuDHD or considering if any of this might be you, you're in the right place. If you've reached the point where you're done with 'getting by' and you want finally make sense of things and reclaim your 'self', this is the place to do it.
For many, the moment that changes everything can come in the form of finally having language and context for something they've always known. For some, that also means gently unpacking years of trauma alongside it.

Many of the men I work with have spent years pushing things down, coping alone, or feeling they should just “get on with it” — until life becomes too heavy to carry quietly.
I work specifically with men and understand that starting therapy can feel unfamiliar, uncomfortable, or difficult to talk about. I offer a supportive, non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and be properly heard.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 25 years working in the construction industry, with some of that time spent running my own business. I understand the pressures many men carry — the expectation to cope and keep going.

I am an experienced psychotherapist in private practise, as well as teaching faculty on foundation and advanced counselling courses in Exeter, UK.
I firmly believe that we are fundamentally relational beings, ones that need security, understanding & care above all else. Real change comes not from trying to fix thinking patterns, self-concepts or the past, but in shifting relational dynamics in the here and now and finding new ways of being with another. This is what I focus on in therapy with my clients,

I often work with: anxiety, relationship issues, painful family dynamics, addictions, trainee therapists, students and highly sensitive people.
My work suits people who want depth, rather than quick fixes.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable and used to holding things together for others – yet also feel anxious, low or unsure who they are below the roles they play. I offer a space where we can gently uncover what's underneath these patterns, reduce shame and help you feel more at ease with yourself. My work is reflective and in-depth, supporting you to live in ways that feel more honest and aligned to who you truly are.

We encounter various kinds of difficulties and challenges every day. At times, it can be challenging to open up to others, therefore leading to feelings of confusion and a sense of powerlessness. Recently, many individuals from Hong Kong who have relocated to the UK have faced setbacks in their social, professional, or academic pursuits. Such challenges often stem from uncertainties surrounding self-image and self-worth while adapting to a new environment. If you find yourself in a similar situation, exploring yourself through psychological counseling can provide you with more effective means to understand and address these emotions

Hi, I’m Ilan! I’m a Clinical Psychologist and Director of The Oak Tree Practice. I want to tell you a bit more about myself, as I realise selecting a psychologist can be a tough task! I feel very privileged to be able to say I love what I do and always have, ever since I started volunteering for ChildLine in 2007. Following this, I’ve had experience working with a wide variety of clients including children, young people, adults, older adults, military personnel, individuals with learning disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders and neurological conditions. I have also furthered my studies through the completion of undergraduate, masters and doctoral degrees. All this aside, one of the most important parts of my work is building relationships with those sitting opposite me. I have always believed that you can have all the training and knowledge in the world, but if the client doesn’t return, none of this can be put into action. Therefore, my first aim is always to provide a warm, compassionate and non-judgmental space where we can work on the clients’ difficulties together.

I offer space for people who wish to explore fundamental issues. Some people are driven to counselling by a current crisis that means they need support. Others have been managing perfectly well but decide that repeating destructive patterns or underlying dissatisfaction now deserve attention. I hold a Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling from Re-Vision. This is 'counselling with a soulful perspective'. The strongest influence in the training is Jung. In this perspective, times of real difficulty or despair are seen as holding a potential for change and growth. In our work you will be heard and witnessed.

Are you feeling a growing distance in your relationship — lonely, unheard, or going round in the same difficult patterns? Maybe communication has broken down, trust feels shaky, or life just feels overwhelming and it’s starting to affect how you connect with the people around you. You don’t have to work it out on your own.
Relationships can be a real source of comfort, but when things aren’t working, it can feel confusing and painful, and it often spills into other areas of life. You might be dealing with conflict at home, a relationship ending, anxiety, low mood, or just a constant sense that things don’t feel quite right.
