I work with adults who want a supportive space to explore what’s going on for them. You may be feeling anxious, low, burnt out or carrying more than you let on. My approach is pluralistic, which means I don’t fit you into a model — we find what works for you. Clients often tell me they value my warmth, steadiness and the sense of being met as a whole person.

Welcome. Whatever has brought you to scroll these profiles, the right therapeutic relationship can help you be heard, seen and understood. The journey often starts in a place of discomfort: anxiety, bereavement, feeling lost, stuck or frustrated with repeated patterns of behaviour that you can't seem to shift (in life and relationships), physical or mental health problems or the pain of old wounds that haven't healed. These crisis moments are often a call to personal growth and development, and sometimes to find a new path in life. I can offer you a safe and non-judgemental space to explore your situation and begin to move forward.

As an integrative psychotherapist (BACP accredited) and EMDR therapist, I draw on a combination of different approaches, so that the therapy is tailored to each client's individual needs. Clearly professional qualifications & experience are important, but I also place great value on the healing nature of the relationship between client and therapist. Therapy is a collaborative process & I believe that building trust, feeling understood & in charge of decision & choice making within the process are all key aspects of the counselling journey for clients. You may feel like your friends are moving on with their lives, while you remain stuck. You know you want things to change, but you keep putting it off until tomorrow. Then you wake in the night, convinced that life is passing you by.
The more time passes, the more you feel it’s your fault. You tell yourself it “should” be easy to make changes. You call yourself “lazy", or "not good enough". This self-critical way of thinking saps your energy, making it even harder to take steps towards change.
I work with adults who feel caught between the part of themselves that wants to make changes and the part that feels stuck.

My background is in Psychosynthesis, a transpersonal therapy.
Most of us have compulsions and addictions to varying degrees, and recognise the feelings of frustration and stuckness that accompany them. Sometimes they are obvious, such as drinking despite negative consequences. Others are more subtle. There are protective masks we’ve learned to wear that we don't know how to put down, limiting beliefs heaped on us by the world that we carry as if we chose them, and behaviours we can’t explain yet can’t stop. All these possibly once provided a sense of safety. But with time, they limit and trap us. Working together I can help you uncover a new, freer path, allowing more of you to breathe.

Are you sensitive and experiencing low motivation for your life and work, stuck or somehow blocked? Are you a creative professional or someone who identifies as creative? Feeling lost, confused, doubting or criticising yourself? Maybe relationships are also being affected with professional and personal issues and you have noticed past pains and happenings have re-emerged and not knowing how to find a way through? Or where external pressures as well as internal processes that are uncomfortable, different can become repetitively frustrating, and then even huge difficulties in pursuit of the creative project and living your life.

Transpersonal Counsellors
How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualisation, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.
How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.
Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilise the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.
What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioural therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
