I support women who identify as neurodivergent whether formally diagnosed or self identifying including Autism, ADHD and AuDHD.
My clients are women who feel anxious, frustrated and lost. The ability to cope with life events has reduced. You dont feel heard or understood in relationships, hormonal shifts hit hard and retirement and bereavement can create an identity crisis. As a NCPS- registered therapeutic counsellor in Bromley, I provide a space to vent, scream and cry at the world. My practice integrates traditional talking therapy, walk and talk therapy, somatic coping strategies like breathe work and finding practical coping strategies to support you in making positive changes that are realistic to implement. You may not know what you need. That's OK

I appreciate there may be many reasons why you are looking into counselling. You may be suffering from anxiety, depression, loss or grief. There may be feelings of deep loneliness, low self-esteem, confusion or isolation - or perhaps you're struggling with attachment issues within your relationships. These difficulties can arise through recent life events, but may also be a product of our past or experiences of trauma. I know how hard it can be to try and cope with these on your own - counselling can provide a space to talk through these feelings and make sense of them.

What can feel overwhelming and impossible, can shift, it just needs time and work with the right counsellor. I offer sessions online and on the telephone.

I can help you explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. The pressures, or patterns that leave you feeling stuck or unheard. Our sessions offer a safe, honest space to slow down and make sense of things at your own pace. I’ll support you in reconnecting with yourself, finding clarity, and creating change that feels right for you. Having grown up across three different countries and speaking three languages, I have experienced the challenges of feeling unsure about where you belong.

I'm a trauma informed therapist and I understand what it feels like to struggle with an issue alone. The anxiety, stress and low self-esteem that arise from shouldering a problem by yourself can be isolating and difficult to see a way out of. Silence or avoiding issues can lead to unhealthy coping mechanisms and related problems, such as interrupted sleep patterns and insomnia, disordered eating, self harm, and substance misuse. In turn, these impact relationships with those closest to you. We'll work together to identify unhealthy patterns and create a plan for effective, life-enhancing change.

Although we all face ups and downs throughout life, there are transitional phases which can present challenges to any of us. Be that, teenage years and into adulthood, or physical and emotional changes experienced by women each month, peri/post-natal and menopause. You may be struggling with an undiagnosed disorder or have been diagnosed, finding it difficult to come to terms with, and wondering what this means for you going forward. I also work with older adults who are transitioning into the latter part of their life and the challenges this can bring. These transitions can produce feelings of anxiety, depression and feeling stuck.

Welcome. Whatever has brought you to scroll these profiles, the right therapeutic relationship can help you be heard, seen and understood. The journey often starts in a place of discomfort: anxiety, bereavement, feeling lost, stuck or frustrated with repeated patterns of behaviour that you can't seem to shift (in life and relationships), physical or mental health problems or the pain of old wounds that haven't healed. These crisis moments are often a call to personal growth and development, and sometimes to find a new path in life. I can offer you a safe and non-judgemental space to explore your situation and begin to move forward.

I am a Clinical Psychologist with 15 + years’ experience working in various roles within the NHS, including a mainstream Child and Adolescent Service (CAMHS), an Adolescent Service and a Neurodevelopmental Service, where I specialised in diagnosing Autism & ADHD and supporting families and children post diagnosis.
I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and third wave CBT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Compassion Focused Therapy) approaches in my clinical work which I have found to be particularly helpful for young people. I also have experience using ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) for difficulties such as OCD and emetophobia (fear of sick).

Welcome. Finding the right therapist can be a challenging process. It's essential to find someone who is the right fit. I offer a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space where my role would be to help you explore your abilities and strengths, enabling you to navigate whatever issues you face, develop a deeper understanding of yourself and enhance your overall sense of wellbeing. I believe that there is no single approach that works for everyone, as each person’s circumstances are unique. By combining elements from different modalities, I am able to create a personalised approach that suits you.

Every client responds to a different balance of therapeutic help. It's your journey, and it's one along which you can discover what if anything is stopping you be the best you can be, or where your talents lie. With or without the aide of hypnosis, your life journey is one of self discovery and a pathway to the realisation that you have all the tools you need, right inside. Its a journey that would sometimes benefit from a pause and a think in a non judgemental, confidential environment and that what I provide to all my clients.

Hi, I am Mariam, a senior psychotherapist, supervisor and clinical Hypnotherapist, in my experience clients come to therapy because they are either overwhelmed due to recent events in their lives or have been carrying unresolved conscious or unconscious ordeals or traumas. The goal of therapy should always include self-knowledge and self-healing. coming closer to self will help us to come closer to others. As part of this, it is important for all of us to have empathy towards ourselves. So the ultimate goal of therapy should be to gain self-love.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
