Here's what we might work on together: - Breaking free from intrusive thoughts and compulsions that keep you stuck - Taking your life back from phobias so work, relationships, and everyday things feel possible again - Managing anxiety and emotional overwhelm (especially if you have ADHD) - Making sense of your neurodivergent experience and validating you
Hi, I'm Charlotte - a High Intensity Therapist, Mental Health Social Worker, and someone who genuinely gets what it's like when anxiety, OCD, or phobias take over your life. Are you stuck in exhausting thought cycles? Avoiding places or situations because the fear feels too big? Maybe you're neurodivergent and finally have words for experiences that have confused you for years, but you're not sure what to do with that understanding? I know what it's like to feel trapped in your own head. It's exhausting, confusing, and sometimes it feels like no one else quite gets what you're going through. I do.

I am experienced working with clients diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, PTSD, depression and a range of other issues.
Hi, I'm Mark, thank you for visiting my page. You've taken the first step by visiting this website, keep going as help is not far away! What I can help you with: Some clients need a space to share their experiences, to vent about work or offload the pressures life brings, others need help with self-esteem. Some have traumatic and life-changing events to carefully unpick and address. Whatever it is that brings you to counselling, we can take the journey together, at your pace and on your terms. I work with clients face to face or online. At present, I do not offer couples therapy or work with people under 18 years of age.

My ideal client is someone navigating anxiety, trauma, or relationship struggles, whether that’s in a marriage, friendship, or within their family. They may also be dealing with low self-esteem, self-perception issues, or unresolved childhood experiences. They want to feel more in control, gain clarity, and begin to heal. Their goal is to understand themselves better, break free from painful patterns, and build healthier connections, with others and with themselves.

I can do remote or in person ADHD assessments also.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Clinical evidence based Mindfulness, aimed at effective treatment of most psychological issues. I am an Expert Witness and do court work (especially trauma).I aim to get desired results quickly (I am not a fan of long term therapy, but do offer long term support, if needed). I believe action oriented client, centered therapy works better than just "active listening, "which clients often find frustrating. Empowering people to help themselves is useful and reduces realiance on a therapist, I aim to make myself redundant and not needed by a client. Remote therapy works really well in my experience.

I specialise in trauma recovery, including complex PTSD, childhood and religious trauma, addictions, grief, neurodiversity, and expat transitions. As an ex-Jehovah’s Witness, I’ve lived through coercive control, shunning, and isolation—giving me deep insight into religious trauma and recovery. When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
