Hello and a Warm Welcome, Are you the type of person who works hard and yet other people seem to be promoted before you? Do you put yourself last and yet others complain you don't do enough for them? Do you feel trapped in a cycle of negative patterns.? Does it feel like it has always been this way and always will be? Do you find you have difficulty saying No and then feel guilty or anxious when you need to say no? Do you then feel burnt out, stressed, or resentful towards others? Would you like to find a safe non-judgemental space where you can be seen and heard, a space for you to be able to talk about and process the issues?

I am a committed BACP registered person-centred psychotherapist in Nottingham, offering online sessions. With a passion for helping adults navigate life's challenges, I have experience working with post-traumatic stress, family estrangement, and bereavement. I have a particular interest in emotional abuse and its various forms—narcissistic, psychological, coercive control, and bullying. Regardless of the label, it can leave a person severely traumatised and struggling to cope. My practice covers a broad range of issues, including but not limited to emotional abuse, C-PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and grief.

Hello. I believe, as with all living things, humans have within them an innate drive to develop and grow. Just as plants need nutrients and water to thrive, I believe we all need an environment of warm, empathic understanding so we can strive - just like a flower in bloom - to reach our fullest potential. We also have a deep need for relational connection and acceptance. I believe that given these optimum conditions for growth, we can strive to become more fully who we want to be, and not perhaps just how others perceive us. I feel honoured and privileged when I meet new clients and they choose to share their life stories with me.

I provide a safe and confidential space for you to talk through whatever brings you to counselling. I believe that you have the full potential to overcome any emotional challenges you may be facing and that together we can untangle the busyness of your thoughts and make sense of everything. With growing awareness comes the element of choice - which in turn will open up a life you want to live. You may have a personal goal that you want to achieve from the sessions or it may just be about having a space to say things out loud and start to own how you are feeling. I will always be led by the client as you are the expert of you.

I am a Consultant Clinical & Forensic Psychologist having worked as a psychologist since 1988. During this time, I have worked in a range of settings, clinical, forensic and organisational, where one of my main interests has been the impact of stressful life events on individuals, whether that be in the form of work-related stress, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following a major trauma or the effects of more prolonged experiences of trauma resulting in underlying personality difficulties and complex PTSD. I offer a range of therapies which I tailor to meet the needs of my clients.

If you struggle with an addiction I will work with you to help you find a way to stop and more importantly, stay stopped. I’m sure you will have heard the words “why don’t you just stop/cut down”. If only it was that simple. Your addiction probably helped or still helps you feel better or takes you away from the feelings you don’t want. If you’re looking for help it’s probably damaging your life in some way now and you’re ready to look for a solution. You have taken the first step, looking for an answer.

Hello I am Emma. I am a humanistic & integrative psychotherapist and counsellor and I work with adults, children, and young people. You may be experiencing relationship or family difficulties, loss, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, or loneliness. Whatever your reason for seeing a counsellor I aim to provide you with a non-judgemental, open, honest, empathetic, and supportive space to fully explore your situation and to help you to understand your thoughts and feelings.

Work related stress, redundancy, relationship breakdown, bereavement, ADHD, abuse, trauma, to name a few of life's challenges that can lead to anxiety, depression, low self esteem, negative thoughts, poor sleep and eating patterns. It can be an unsettling thought to share your experiences with someone you have not met before, but I have a calm, down to earth approach to my counselling work which helps to provide, a safe, confidential space for you to be, to build trust and explore how we can work together to make positive change.

Therapy can be a tough enough undertaking without sitting across from somebody furiously scribbling in a notebook, poker faced whilst you try your best to open up. So, I run my practice with a few core values: acceptance, kindness, empathy, compassion and a touch of humour and humanity to lighten the load a bit. No chaise longue necessary. The type of therapy I do is called integrative psychotherapy. It means I incorporate a few different types of therapy (person centred, attachment theory and cut) to create a style tailored specifically to you and your needs.

Whatever you are going through in life, therapy can bring you relief, peace and make a positive difference to your life. Therapy provides a “safe” space for you to talk without judgement or criticism. It also offers the opportunity for you to work through your difficulties and experiences from the past. This can help you cope with the struggles you are facing today and work through fears and anxieties about the future.

Sometimes it feels like everyone says that men have it easy. If that’s so, then why are three quarters of all suicides men? We've been taught to tough it out and to go it alone, and that it’s weak to ask for help when things get on top of us – even if there is someone we can turn to. I work with the issues around the difficulty of being male in a society that creates unrealistic and often contradictory ideals of masculinity that are impossible to live up to, and stops men connecting meaningfully with themselves and others.

I am Dr Carla Rainbow, and I am both a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and a registered Counselling Psychotherapist (Dip TC, Dip SP&C, FD, BSc (Hons), PG Dip, MSc, DClinPsy, CPsychol, Reg MBACP, MSfDBT, EuroPsy). This means I am qualified to the very highest level, and experienced to be able to help you with even the most complex problems that you might be experiencing. On top of my experience (including within the NHS and prison services), and my qualifications, I work really hard at building effective working relationships, because research suggests that can be one of the most effective indicators for good therapeutic outcomes.

Are you struggling with big emotions? Fear, pain, or maybe you feel empty, numb and unable to get going? Do you feel trapped by your relationships, circumstances or suffer with a lack of confidence to make a change? You may be grieving the loss of an important person in your life. Throughout our lives we have many ups and downs, losses and big changes. Sometimes we can feel alone in our problems. You might feel unable to share some of the thoughts and feelings that you’re having with others due to feeling that you may be criticised, ridiculed or misunderstood. Depression can make us feel disconnected from others and alone in life.
