I'm a registered integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. My work is informed by a rich-blend of experiences both internationally, and within my extensive experience in diverse clinical settings. My practice integrates various therapeutic approaches to meet your goals and needs. I aim to work closely with you to understand the collaborative journey of therapy — one that isn't about fixing you but rather, to meet you where you are and journey with you, to where you want or need to be. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. My approach is collaborative, grounded, and respectful of your unique journey.

There are occasions when difficult life experiences can create barriers to moving forward even though this may be your greatest desire. When difficult feelings seem overwhelming and begin to impact on personal development therapy can provide a supportive non-judgemental space which can help in moving towards growth and change. I offer a supportive caring service, a confidential space where it is possible to gain personal insight and awareness which support conditions for creating balance.

I provide a safe and confidential space for you to talk through whatever brings you to counselling. I believe that you have the full potential to overcome any emotional challenges you may be facing and that together we can untangle the busyness of your thoughts and make sense of everything. With growing awareness comes the element of choice - which in turn will open up a life you want to live. You may have a personal goal that you want to achieve from the sessions or it may just be about having a space to say things out loud and start to own how you are feeling. I will always be led by the client as you are the expert of you.

I offer short-term counselling, where we can work through more immediate and specific problems and longer-term psychotherapy for more intricate and deeper exploration. Whatever you have experienced, my aim is to help you move forward and benefit from the way you want to live your life. I understand how the impact of trauma on our lives creates a block in how we think and behave; where our past can overshadow or impede our view of our present life. With grief & loss, I recognise the parallel process of coping with our daily lives whilst managing a roller coaster of emotions and feelings that is both challenging and exhausting.

Do you struggle with managing your emotions, feeling overwhelmed by intense emotions, or shut down and disconnected? Have you been told you’re too sensitive? You might feel things deeply, be affected by others’ moods, or feel ashamed of how you respond emotionally. You may wonder whether you'll ever feel truly worthy or confident. These difficulties can affect your daily life and relationships, perhaps leading to anxiety, withdrawal or feeling misunderstood. Coping by bottling things up, or ‘just getting on with it’ may have helped, but now you're ready to take the next step towards living fully and forming meaningful relationships.

I work with adults to heal trauma. I specialise in working with adults who have experienced childhood emotional neglect from emotionally immature or narcissistic parents. I have extensive training in treating trauma, using innovative neurobiological body-brain techniques, such as eye movement and Brainspotting to release negative emotions and limiting beliefs and reduce anxiety, build confidence, a deeper sense of self, increased resilience to stress, and greater connection to self and others, while allowing you to finally experience calm and inner peace, and live the life you always hoped was possible.

People seek out therapy for lots of different reasons. It can take time to feel safe enough or trust enough to talk openly. Sometimes there are not the words. I aim to establish a warm therapeutic relationship that offers a safe space for you to share and explore what has brought you to therapy at a pace that feels manageable to and for you. I aim to meet you where you are at so that you have the time and space to feel heard and met as you are. Together we can explore the challenges but also seek to identify and build on your strengths.

I have had many of my own life struggles which have given me the gift of empathy and felt/lived experience of traumas. Today I stand proud and tall knowing I made it through and in the job I call my calling. I feel privileged to work with my clients and I offer a safe and trusting relationship where you can be YOU. Within therapy with me, we work at establishing a therapeutic relationship. One that's healthy and trusting, allowing openess and honesty in the therapy room and creating a safe, nurturing, calm space to feel free to be you without judgment. Then we can work through anything you feel you need to unpack and explore.
