I have completed advanced training in several evidence-based therapeutic modalities, with a special interest in Integrative Third Wave Behavioural Therapies, especially Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy.
Do you feel trapped in uncertainty, overwhelmed with sadness, emotions or physical pain? Is anxiety holding you back and getting in the way of living well? Do you find it hard to express your own needs. Maybe not wanting to feel a burden, so often keep your worries to yourself. Or overly focussed on others needs, at the detriment of your self-care. Do you find yourself behaving in ways that are unlike a person you want to be, maybe snappy at loved ones or colleagues and critical of yourself? Together, we can create a safe space, to explore helpful ways to move forward, build resilience and live better.

I offer individual/couple therapy and have experience in delivering a wide range of interventions informed by CBT, CFT, ACT, attachment based therapy and more.
I work with children and adults! When working with children, I like to involve the parents where possible. When working with adults, motivation is always effective in making change. I enjoy thinking with clients about realistic and long lasting goals, and I spend time working on a formulation to understand which patterns may be helping or hindering those I support.

I understand how important it is to find a therapist you feel comfortable with, especially at a time when you may be feeling stuck or alone, dealing with a particular issue, or feeling more generally overwhelmed? I offer a warm, compassionate, confidential and non-judgemental approach; a place to offload, perhaps find simple coping strategies, fresh insight, and the greater sense of balance or peace of mind you may seek.

I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches - including CBT-E, Compassion Focused Therapy, CBT-AR, and ACT for body image work - tailored to what's actually going on for you, not a one-size-fits-all programme.
I support people towards a life where food feels less loaded, and where their sense of worth isn’t tied to what they eat, or how their body looks. If you're here, it might be because food, eating, or how you feel in your body has started to feel harder than it used to. Maybe it's constant thoughts about food, weight, or appearance. Or it could be feeling stuck in cycles you can't break. Whatever form this takes, I work with it - from diagnosed conditions like anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and ARFID, to orthorexia, where a fixation on 'healthy' eating spirals into anxiety, rigid rules, and a reduced quality of life.

My approach blends compassion, acceptance and creativity.
Are you in your 30s, quietly panicking that you’re running out of time to figure your life out? Everyone else seems to be moving forward — relationships, careers, families — while you’re overthinking every decision and wondering where you went wrong. Life looks “fine” on the outside but, inside you're exhausted by constant self-doubt, stuck in spirals of overthinking and scared of making the wrong move, so you stay frozen under the pressure to get it right before it’s “too late.”

Many people come to therapy during times of change or emotional uncertainty—relationship difficulties, loss or bereavement, career transitions, or questions around identity. These experiences can feel heavy, especially when you’ve been carrying them alone. Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as a mental health nurse in Hong Kong, supporting people through complex emotional challenges. I offer therapy in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and I’m mindful of cultural and family dynamics. I provide a neutral, compassionate space to help you gain clarity, feel supported, and reconnect with your inner strengths.

Many of my clients come to therapy feeling emotionally exhausted. You may often describe feeling stuck, overwhelmed, misunderstood or carrying the weight of difficult past experiences that continue to affect you. You might understand why you feel the way you do, yet still find yourself repeating the same patterns in your relationships, work, or daily life. I provide a collaborative, reflective and trauma-informed therapeutic space where you can slow down, make sense of your experiences, and explore what might be keeping you stuck. I tailoring therapy to your unique needs rather than offering a one-size fits all.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Counsellors
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
