I have experience working with a wide variety of people, seeking to alleviate/manage issues such as anxiety (including health anxiety), depression, self-esteem and confidence issues,
anger
/emotional regulation and alcohol. I also work with people who have a general sense of dissatisfaction with life. By understanding yourself in terms of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, you can consider change, and create your own action plan on how you can live your life better, in the way you want to. You may want to challenge your anxieties, develop new habits, change your outlook, regulate your emotions, or improve your relationships.

Are you feeling stuck about the past? Perhaps the present is a source of stress? Or maybe you have a general feeling of uncertainty about the future? I am a very empathic and non-judgemental therapist with the benefit of a practical and solution-focused mind. I can help you identify and meet your missing emotional needs so that you can heal and stay mentally balanced; moving you on from states such as stress, anxiety, OCD, depression,
anger
, or addiction. This is a modern therapy with the added advantage of an optional guided imagery at the end of each session, as an extra 'boost' for feeling emotionally calm and in control again.

Life can present many challenging and difficult situations, leaving us with a mixture of feelings and emotions to try and make sense of. We may experience feelings of anxiety;
anger
; confusion; sadness; loneliness and feeling ‘stuck’, with a sense of no direction. Sometimes we feel, we just need time; space and a neutral person to talk to, as we explore and untangle our thoughts; emotions; experiences and behaviours. If you would like the opportunity for this, then I am able to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for this to happen.

You have taken the first step of looking for help. Has your life been turned upside down due to a traumatic event? Does anxiety, panic attacks, stress,
anger
, depression hold you back? Has you life changed to chronic pain, and getting you down? A loss of a special someone, family, friend, a fur baby, or even yourself along the way, and you are grieving? When a traumatic incident or an abusive relationship leaves you feeling all alone, isolated, and don't know what to do. You want to get your life back, you just want to feel heard. You want to feel normal, but there is no normal, just the fear of the unknown.

Life is a journey of discovery of the self and diversity is the beauty of this world. Who a person is and what makes them happy is unique, and most of the time different from others. Being truthful to self brings resilience, but even so, life can be a continuous challenge. Maybe at the moment you feel that you are on the journey or you want to start the journey of self-discovery. Perhaps, you are facing some new or old challenges in life that you want to overcome, control, get the better of, or get over it. Or you want to make some sense of some old matters that still influence your life, or to take control of some ongoing ones.

How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.
How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.
Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.
What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
