Are you someone who looks like they’re coping on the outside, but inside things feel harder than they should. Anxiety, past experiences, or self-doubt can quietly shape how you think, feel, and respond, even when you’re trying your best to move forward. I offer a space where we can slow things down and make sense of what’s happening, without judgement or pressure. From there, we begin to work through it. Using approaches such as CBT, EMDR & counselling, the aim isn’t just to talk, but to help you experience change in how you feel, think, and respond so life begins to feel more manageable and more like your own again.

Are you fed up with thoughts turning over and over in your mind? Or sometimes feelings of fear, shame or guilt creep in more than you like? Sometimes the reasons for these emotions are clear, but sometimes it is not so easy to identify why we are so affected by things. Even when life is going well we may doubt and lose trust in ourselves. We compare ourselves and seek validation from others, and abandon our own needs to accommodate others. We may wear the mask we think others want to see and believe we aren’t good enough. We may fear there is something wrong with us and that this is how it's going to be forever.

Hello! I healed myself from Severe PTSD & long-covid. Now I offer a tailored, neuroscience-based method for senior leaders and high-performing individuals operating at the highest levels of responsibility. At a certain level, the challenge is no longer external. It is not strategy. It is not capability. It is not experience. It is how you operate internally under sustained pressure, complexity, and change. At this level, the next step is not doing more. It is removing what interferes with: Clarity; stability; adaptability & your ability to remain fully yourself under pressure.

As well as online video apps, I work face to face with adults, young people (18+) and couples. Sometimes friends or family are unable to support you so an impartial professional can really help. Powerlessness, change, loneliness, grief and anxiety are just a few of the overwhelming feelings many are experiencing. There is no need to be alone in this. Call for a chat to see if, together, we can find a way forward.

Since the Coronavirus pandemic my Psychotherapy practice has moved online, in most cases. My fee for working face-to-face - in and around the Greater London area - can be discussed. I offer one-to-one, couple and relationship counselling and group therapy. I work with an integrative approach, including theoretical principles such as Relational, Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Spiritual, Mindfulness, Gestalt, etc. I also incorporate Eco-Psychotherapy, as I believe we are each emotionally and spiritually impacted by the differing, ecological environments in which we live.

I'm a senior NHS psychotherapist working across adult and child services. Much of my work is with anxiety. I have experience with attachment trauma, and worked with many people struggling with low mood, self-belief and self-esteem. And confidence lower than it ought to be. Many attack themselves unfairly with harsh criticism and judgement even when they are blameless. Which leads to more anxiety and stress. Which must be hidden away from others. Understanding why helps. And learning to respond less harshly and more supportively to ourselves is where alleviation lies.

Welcome. My name is Marco. I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative therapist, registered and member of BACP (Accredited). I speak English and Portuguese, I truly value diversity and have always loved interacting with individuals of all cultures, backgrounds, orientations and abilities. At times in our daily journey we may feel stuck and lost inside ourselves, experiencing challenging emotions and feeling lost with no sense of purpose. In the midst of such conflicted experience, we may find ourselves in need of a safe and confidential space with someone to truly listen to us with empathy, acceptance and a non-judgemental attitude.

Neuro-Linguistic (NLP) Counsellors
How does neuro-linguistic programming work?
A therapist using Neuro-linguistic programming might start by building a strong rapport and gathering information about the client’s objectives and any problem areas. Then the NLP therapist will employ NLP techniques to guide their client toward healthier thoughts and behaviours. Clients will learn how to better manage their moods and hone their communication skills. NLP will conclude with the therapist and client making a plan for how to integrate the positive changes into their daily life in the future.

What are some techniques used in neuro-linguistic programming?
NLP therapists often employ anchoring, so the client begins to automatically associate their trigger with a healthier response. Clients also learn how to reframe a situation to change the way they react to it for the better, and how to replace the negative beliefs that are holding them back. Many NLP clients practice visualisation or forming a mental image of themselves attaining their goals. Every NLP therapist will have their own preferred approach with specific techniques that they have found to be helpful for their clients.

How long does neuro-linguistic programming take?
Since neuro-linguistic programming is not regulated, the length of treatment can vary greatly. Some therapists may only use NLP in a single session, while others may employ it over the course of weeks, months, or even years. It depends greatly on the type and severity of the problem being treated, as well as the individual client’s response to NLP treatment.

Is neuro-linguistic programming evidence-based?
While some people may find neuro-linguistic programming helpful, either in therapy or in their career or personal development, the science behind this approach is inconclusive. Most of the available studies are small in scale and have produced mixed results, and the commercial nature of NLP lends itself to conflicts of interest. More research is needed. In the meantime, practitioners must use their best judgment of whether NLP techniques will be helpful in meeting their clients’ individual needs.
