The reasons we have for seeking therapy are as varied and complex as the people seeking. You may be facing challenges in your life and relationships you wish to overcome. Or want to experience greater creativity, richer relationships, or simply have more ‘good’ days. Within our relationship, I aim to create an environment where you feel comfortable and safe to express, explore and examine your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours both past and present. I am driven to find freedom from the patterns of the past, which existed once to protect us and now may have become self-limiting and even hurtful.

Relationship therapy - couples, individuals, open and poly - specialist online support to help you create the relationship you want. “How do we communicate better?”, “ How do we stop arguing?”, “We’re not getting on and I don’t know why”, “She/he won’t listen to me”, “I can’t get past her/his affair”, “Things changed after we had kids”, “I think I want to separate”, “How do we open up our relationship?"... Sound familiar? Many people wait until their relationship problems seem unbearable before they decide to reach out for help. If tension is starting to develop in your relationship, don’t wait until it’s too late to ask for help.

Being neurodivergent myself, I've been drawn to work with autism, ADHD and other neurotypes, as well as the gender, sexuality, kink, and relationship diversity ( polyamory/non-monogamy) community, including sex workers.
I believe that every person has the inner wisdom and potential to create a fulfilling life for themselves. However, at some point, most of us will find that we need external perspective and a space to explore issues that might make us feel stuck or hopeless. To me, counselling is a collaborative and creative relational process, and my role within it is to help people find their own personal power and joy, no matter their circumstances. I'm an energetic practitioner who will laugh and get excited with you, but also respect your rhythm and create space for grief, pain and stuckness, for as long as it's needed.

Does it feel like the world doesn’t understand you, are you seeking clarity, and craving change? Your story is yours to write, and counselling can be part of that process. I believe that finding yourself isn’t about following a predetermined script—it’s about exploring, questioning, and embracing every part of who you are, even the pieces that feel uncertain. Whether your journey feels like Elphaba’s - misunderstood, pushing against norms, carving your own path - or Galinda’s - searching for clarity, transformation, and connection - self-discovery is an adventure.

You may appear to be coping well on the outside, yet feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or emotionally drained on the inside. You might be autistic or neurodivergent, living with chronic illness, or experiencing anxiety, low mood, or burnout after years of pushing through and prioritising others. You may want space to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and feel understood without having to explain or justify yourself. Perhaps you feel something isn't quite right. Maybe you can't put your finger on it, or maybe you can? A relationship that's become difficult, a pattern you keep falling into, a sense of being stuck somewhere you don't want to be. You know something needs to change, but understanding what and doing it are different things. That's where I come in. I work with people who are ready to understand themselves better. To spot the patterns, make sense of where they are, and find a way forward. Not back to how things were, but somewhere new. Somewhere with more clarity, more choice, greater wellbeing.

Maybe you’re holding it together on the outside, but inside it feels like too much. It might be anxiety, depression, past trauma, ADHD, or patterns in relationships or with self-worth that feel hard to shift. You don’t need to explain it all perfectly, just somewhere to start. I’m a BACP-registered therapist offering a person-centred, trauma-informed space to go at your pace. You’ll be met with empathy, honesty, and respect. People often come to me feeling stuck, emotionally exhausted, or unsure where to begin. Over time, you can start to feel more settled, more like yourself again, and like things are a little easier to face.

Are you feeling anxious, lost, depressed, lonely or stuck? Is life overwhelming you? Do you feel like there are things in your past you need to talk about? Trauma, depression and anxiety can feel physically as well as emotionally overwhelming, and it can be hard to take the time to really focus on ourselves and listen to what we need. I work in a non judgemental way, and value inclusively. I'm friendly and curious about all my clients' experiences, including tears, anger, laughter and everything in between.

Open Relationships Non-Monogamy Counsellors
Why might an individual want to see a therapist specialising in open relationships and consensual non-monogamy?
A client seeking help with an open or consensually non-monogamous relationship will prefer to talk with a professional whom they can count on to be nonjudgmental. Talking with a supportive therapist may on its own help relieve some of the stigma and challenges partners face. That said, the most important factor in the success of any type of therapy is the ability of the client and practitioner to form a strong, trusting bond. For this reason, an individual or couple could find success with a therapist who does not specialise in non-monogamous relationships but with whom they can build trust.

When should open or consensually non-monogamous partners seek counselling?
Like other couples, polyamorous partners typically seek counseling when they face relationship challenges they can’t solve themselves. In non-monogamous relationships, this could include breaches of trust, including infidelity; unclear rules or violations of boundaries; jealousy of outside partners; the stress of juggling the needs of multiple partners; or the effect of high partner turnover on children. Like those of other couples, polyamorous bonds can be threatened by increasingly frequent arguments, poor or dysfunctional communication, diminished emotional or physical intimacy, or the feeling that something is wrong, even if they don’t know what it is.

Do therapists have special training to gain expertise in open relationships and consensual non-monogamy?
No, but individuals seeking help with non-monogamous relationships would most likely consult a licensed professional with specific training in couples counseling or couples therapy. Couples counselling and couples therapy both involve teaching concrete strategies to navigate conflict in relationships. A good therapist can engage both partners as they explain these approaches but can also work with a single partner.

How long does therapy for consensually non-monogamous couples typically last?
Couples therapy for any type of couple, tends to be relatively time-limited, lasting around 12 weeks on average. A good therapist will tailor sessions to the individual partners’ emotions and sometimes their past, along with patterns found to be repeating in the relationship. In many cases, clients should expect their therapist to assign “homework” between weekly sessions.
