Therapy brings clarity, helping you make effective decisions and positive changes in thoughts, attitudes, and behaviours. It's not about advice giving but creating space to talk, explore, and reach your own realisations. The goal is to feel more equipped to make choices and move forward with confidence and wellbeing. Hypnotherapy & mindfulness can be introduced as a type of complementary therapy—hypnosis promotes focus and openness to positive change, while mindfulness helps keep you grounded in the present.

Life is difficult. Every day you face a thousand intangible threats to your mental well-being and self-esteem. Your brain reacts, creating a collection of sensations which we call anxiety. Sometimes you feel hopeless-there's no way out of trouble and you feel yourself becoming more withdrawn, isolated and depressed. Or, perhaps living with the person you love is impossible. Talking things over with family or friends can help. But you may have reasons why that's not appropriate or you need specific specialist help. Then is the time to speak with an impartial, trained, professional, in confidence.

I work with adults that are having difficulties with their mental health. This could be for trauma (childhood trauma, or a more recent incident), OCD, health anxiety, panic disorder, depression, low self-esteem. I have worked in the NHS for 17 years and in private practice. Do you find it difficult to regulate your emotions? Can you be highly self-critical? Perhaps it feels like your emotions are taking over your life instead of you being in the drivers seat. Does it feel like these difficulties are chipping away at your confidence and relationships? That life is closing in. This can be extremely challenging and hard to live with.

People often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure why certain patterns keep repeating. You may want to feel relief, clearer direction, or simply understand yourself better and feel more in control of your life.

My training spans CBT, humanistic therapy, DBT and compassion-focused approaches, so our work adapts to your needs, whether you are seeking relief from difficult symptoms or a deeper understanding of yourself.
As a Cantonese and Mandarin-speaking HCPC Chartered Psychologist with NHS experience, I work with people whose challenges often sit at the crossroads of mental health and cultural identity. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, trauma, or bicultural identity questions, alongside relationship pressures, career challenges, or family expectations that cut across cultures. Some are high achievers who, on the surface, appear to have it all together. I offer online therapy in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, with flexible evening sessions across UK and international time zones.

I am a psychologist, born in Hong Kong and have lived and studied in the UK for over 10 years. I deeply understand how to find balance between different cultures and life transitions. My background allows me to connect better with clients from diverse cultures, providing a warm, pressure-free space for them to face challenges and grow. The clients I help are usually adults, teenagers, parents, and their children, who may be struggling with anxiety, cultural adaptation, identity issues, or interpersonal relationships. They might feel caught between cultural expectations or be overwhelmed by stress due to moving, job changes, etc.

Are you tired of wondering if and when things will get better? Working with me offers more than just coping strategies, it is a space for real healing and growth. Are you carrying the weight of past experiences that still affect your present life? You may feel broken, stuck, or like no one truly understands what you’ve been through. Perhaps you experience flashbacks, dissociation, emotional numbness, panic, or sudden shifts in mood that feel out of your control. You may have already tried therapy, self-help, or coping strategies, but still feel as though the impact of trauma lingers beneath the surface.

Neurodivergent-affirming therapy, EMDR, DBT, CBT, Psychotherapy, NHS Trauma informed pathway; CPTSD, EUPD, attachment disorder.
Having worked in the NHS for over fifteen years; I specialise in Psychiatric care and Neurodiversity. As a Neurodivergent therapist, I have found from practice and my research, which evidences Neurodivergent Affirming Therapy; strong therapeutic alliance with my patients; there's reassurance, safety and a sense of belonging when working with someone who actually gets you! I have worked hard to ensure therapy caters to and adapts to our brains! Techniques such as eye contact, open questions, long silences, often made me and my patients want to run away, perpetuating a belief of hopelessness and helplessness.

Many people I work with describe a deep sense of feeling misunderstood, overlooked, or different — sometimes for as long as they can remember. If this resonates with you, you may be wondering whether your experiences could be related to ADHD, autism, or trauma. Or you might already know these are part of your story and be trying to understand what that truly means for you. It can be painful to feel that the world doesn’t quite “get” you, to have so much happening inside, yet struggle to find spaces where you feel safe enough to be yourself. My role is to offer a space where you can feel safe, understood, and accepted, as you are.

Dialectical Behaviour (DBT) Counsellors
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behaviour and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behaviour, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioural change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behaviour; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
