Have you ever felt stuck with your family or work roles? Do the people who are meant to love you unconditionally, frequently hold you back? Do you find yourself constantly feeling the need to apologise for things, then wondering what you have done wrong? Maybe you have felt blamed for things in life and want to explore things further. Or you may feel held back by guilt and regret. I can work with you to explore this through a safe and steady process which looks at patterns across your life and within relationships. This will help you to break free from the restraints of negative approval you may have felt for many years.

Many of the people I work with appear to be coping well on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, or stuck on the inside. They may be navigating relationship difficulties, grief, trauma, low self-esteem, life transitions, workplace stress, burnout, or questions about identity and purpose. We will create a safe, supportive space to understand what is happening beneath the surface, make sense of difficult emotions, and develop the confidence, resilience, and self-awareness needed to move forward in ways that feel right for them.

If you’re tired of looking capable on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, anxious or self-critical on the inside, you’re not alone. Many high-achieving women carry old hurt, fear or shame while still showing up for everyone else. Therapy offers a steady, safe space to slow down and understand the parts of you that work so hard to keep everything together. As we explore these inner dynamics with compassion, you can begin to feel more supported, more grounded, and more connected to a calmer, confident Self. If this resonates, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.

You apologise for things that aren't your fault. You say yes when you mean no. You rehearse conversations for days, then avoid them entirely. You're the reliable one at work, the easy-going one in relationships. Underneath the “I'm fine”, you're anxious, resentful, and empty. You’ve spent so long being what everyone needs that you don't know what you want anymore. You've lost yourself somewhere in all the performing. You know something needs to change. You're tired of managing everyone else’s feelings whilst yours gets buried. Tired of the guilt every time you think about saying no. Tired of not recognising the person you've become.

In the maze of life's unexpected challenges, I commend your courage in seeking support. I often liken our struggles to a bag of jigsaw puzzle pieces; in counseling, we empty these pieces onto the table and begin turning them right side up. Together, we navigate this intricate puzzle, allowing you to choose which piece to tackle first. It would be my privilege to accompany you on this journey of self-discovery, offering guidance and support as you unravel the mysteries of your life's puzzle.

Choosing a therapist can be a stressful process, and it's difficult to decide which kind of therapy to try. Many people find it helpful to work with a therapist who has trained in more than one therapy, who can switch to a different therapy when needed, and who can tailor sessions according to your needs. My 16 years experience in supporting neurodivergent clients (with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia or other difficulties) led me to further training in 2021 in autism, and specialised CBT and ACT for ADHD and emotional regulation problems.

You might look like you're coping, but deep down feel anxious and depressed. Stress may be affecting your sleep and overall wellbeing. Perhaps you've become used to putting yourself last, hiding how you really feel, or masking parts of yourself to fit in. Relationships can suffer when you feel unseen, disconnected or lonely. As an experienced couples and individual therapist, I offer a warm, supportive space to explore what's happening in your life. Our work together allows you to feel heard and accepted, not judged.

Are you a woman who feels held back, tired of hitting the same internal walls no matter how hard you try? You want something different, but you’re exhausted, overthinking everything, and waiting to feel ready. Feeling stuck doesn’t mean you’re not capable. It means you’re running patterns you can’t yet see. My AuDHD brain gives me fast pattern recognition - I spot the loops and blind‑spots, and the subtle ways you keep yourself small, often before you’ve finished describing them. We don’t go round in circles just for more insight, we go straight to the root so you can stop hiding, start trusting yourself, and move forward.

I offer the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT - tapping) which is like acupuncture but without the needles. You tap on specific parts of your body whilst working on difficult experiences or emotions. It is an evidenced based treatment which means it has a robust body of research demonstrating its effectiveness. It's as effective as CBT. It helps a large variety of difficulties. It works by activating the parasympathetic nervous system (the system that makes the body relaxed) whilst thinking about difficult things so that the brain then associates the difficulties with relaxation in the future rather than distress.
