You’ve Survived So Much. Now It’s Time to Heal — For Real. There’s a point where surviving just isn’t enough anymore. You’ve done what you had to do to get through the pain — pushed it down, talked yourself out of it, minimized it, kept going when everything inside you was saying stop. That kind of strength is real. But so is the exhaustion that comes with it. Maybe you don’t trust people easily. Maybe your body always feels like it’s bracing for something. Maybe you’ve been in therapy before and felt like no one really got it. Or they were too careful, too clinical, or just… too far away. In our work together, you can expect:

Whether you are dealing with a specific issue or just have that feeling something isn’t right, therapy can be a powerful tool to explore your thoughts and make positive changes. There isn’t anybody that couldn’t benefit from an hour a week, dedicated to them, especially at times when life feels too much to handle on our own. My top priority as a therapist is to create a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions without judgement. Being seen, believed and supported can help enormously. I also draw on embodied approaches to trauma, which means I use the body as a tool for deeper self-awareness.

We believe that everyone who needs to see a counsellor should be able to do so. Cost should not be the reason that you are not able to access support. Day Time Sessions (7am- 5pm) £28. Evening Sessions (5pm-8pm) £30. Whatever your reasons for seeking support, be assured you will be treated with respect and confidentiality, and given the safe space to be yourself.

I am an integrative counsellor specialising in eating disorders, as well as working with many other issues including self harm, anxiety, low moods, relationships, OCD & baby loss.
I strongly believe that, "a healer is someone who seeks to be the light she wishes she had in her darkest moments." I understand that taking the first steps towards counselling is not always easy. My own life has not been without struggles and my own experiences of personal counselling have helped shaped the type of counsellor I strive to be.

Good rapport with your Counsellor's the first step towards achieving change. My Counselling approach is different to anything my clients (both Adults & Children) have experienced before and it's because of this, they've felt at ease quickly and gained maximum benefit from their sessions. I've Counselled since 2019 and have a diverse range of additional skills that I integrate into my Counselling work. I work with Victims of Crime within Kent, as well as Children & Families who've been bereaved. I have over 10yrs experience working with Children & Young People, including those with additional needs, so my approach is inclusive.

Would you (or your child) like to talk to someone about your feelings and concerns without them talking about their own experiences, giving you their opinions or leaving you feeling they don't really understand? This is where professional counselling can help. I know choosing a counsellor is difficult, there are many of us to choose from, but finding someone who is the 'right fit' is crucial for counselling to be effective. I appreciate that for some people it may be daunting to talk to someone who doesn't know them, and it can take time to build up trust in the counselling relationship but I will work at your pace.

No one listening? Had enough? Finding it difficult to express yourself? There are times when life and relationships don't run smoothly, when we need support with time to talk and explore what is causing us to struggle. Perhaps it is anxiety or depression, maybe grief and bereavement, a life limiting illness, family issues, men's issues, relationship concerns, money worries, work and career problems, loneliness, life's transitional stages, fear about the future, of ageing and death. If you are finding it hard to deal with life's difficulties and want support, now might be just the right time to see what counselling can offer you.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Counsellors

How long does OCD treatment take?

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?

Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?

Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine, fluoxetine, and sertraline, among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?

Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
