Hello I'm Clara and thank you for visiting my page. Talking to someone about issues you may be facing can often be difficult, so well done for making that first step. Searching for a counsellor can also prove difficult and it is important to find the right one for you. I believe the most important aspect of therapy is the relationship between you and your counsellor. There are many approaches to counselling and as an Integrative Counsellor I work with several theoretical approaches such as Person Centred, Gestalt, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Transactional Analysis. I also offer creative ways of working.

Using an integrative relational model of psychotherapy I build an approach which is tailored to meet the unique requirements of each individual client. My approach is predominantly talking based but I always incorporate the body as a way of accessing deeply held emotions. You may want to address a specific issue such as anxiety, panic attacks or a difficult life event. On the other hand you may want to examine something more deep rooted and indefinable. Perhaps you have noticed a recurring pattern of behaviour which is causing you pain in your life, or more general feelings of depression or unhappiness.

Hello, I am Nadine. I will briefly introduce myself. I am a mother of four with a personal experience of ADHD, and I know first-hand the transformative power of therapy. Diagnosed four years ago, my journey led me to understand the profound impact of talking therapy on mental health and well-being. This personal insight fuels my passion for helping others navigate their unique paths and their journey toward empowerment and healing. I am a pluralistic practitioner and what this means is that the sessions are built around the person's individual needs. The sessions have no set agenda but we will work in collaboration.

I will help you to get a better handle on what is happening for you. I'm a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and sleep and ADHD specialist with 20+ years of experience providing evidence-based psychological interventions (including CBT) for a range of difficulties including insomnia, adult ADHD, anxiety, work-related stress and burnout, trauma, OCD, health anxiety, phobias, self-esteem issues and relationship difficulties.
Psychological support is about investing in you. Life can be chaotic, intense, confusing, and we can be left feeling disconnected from ourselves, our lives, and the people around us. Sometimes we just need some space to stop and think. Psychological support is also about developing a deeper understanding of yourself - who you are, what you need, what matters to you. For others, it's about building on existing skills - how to get more out of relationships, improving communication, being more assertive, boosting your sleep and performance, learning to be the best version of yourself.

Being late diagnosed neurodivergent (ASD and ADHD) has given me lots of life experience of living with "otherness", how I adapted to fit the world I lived in, and what it was like to rediscover who I am, and always was.
Many of my clients are neurodivergent, whether already diagnosed or looking into it. I will support you to look at what difficulties you have now which could use a new direction. We will explore what you would like to change, and look at what solutions work for you. Sometimes this will include looking back to discover repeated behaviours, areas where you have been hurt many times, and begin to look at what you can do differently to find a happier and healthier way to live your life. People and relationships often come into the work, and can show further areas where you could be happier.

Finding your way here takes courage. Whether it was a moment of crisis, a quiet sense that something isn't right, or simply a feeling that you deserve more from life.
Life can shake us in ways we never expected. Anxiety, grief, anger, emptiness, or a disconnection from the life force that makes us feel alive.
Sometimes what we experience isn't just one feeling, but many, pulling in different directions, often at the same time. Parts of us that long to be seen, others that protect, withdraw, or fight. When these parts are in conflict or feel disconnected from each other, life can feel fragmented.

When you struggle with emotional or cognitive changes - whether due to ADHD, a brain injury, or the fog of a long-term health condition - the world can feel like it wasn’t built for you.
As a Clinical Psychologist with a neuropsychology background, I bridge the gap between how your brain works and how you feel. We won't just talk; we'll find the 'why' behind your challenges. I work with you to develop strategies to help you navigate ADHD or health changes, building a life that works with your neurology, not against it.

Hi, I’m Cat, a registered therapist with over 15-years of experience supporting people to un-hook from the difficult thoughts, feelings and behaviours that are holding them back so they can live the life they want.
Perhaps you've lost your way. You feel scared, stuck or overwhelmed by anxiety and self-doubt. Everyone around you says you have so much to offer, but you’ve lost that spark of belief and don’t know how to pull yourself out of this rut.
You might have tried other therapists before, but find that nothing out there seems quite right.
Well, with a solution-focused approach akin to life coaching, that's where I come in!

What happened to us, doesn't have to define us. The narrative of our issues can be transformed in something different. A healing story that can give you empowerment and freedom. We can feel angry, anxious, frozen, stuck but we may not always know why. You may look for happiness or you feel you are lost. Or perhaps, you still don't know what's missing. Regardless, I understand it's important for you to know how to cope and what really matters to you. Finding and challenging your personal story, may give you the answers you are looking for. I can help with that!

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.
How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.
How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
