I have a wealth of experience of working with a diverse range of issues and difficulties including but not limited to anxiety, low mood/depression, relationship difficulties, family relationships, health-related trauma, work difficulties/ career path, confidence and self-esteem, grief/loss, life purpose/direction, fertility issues.
If you are having difficulties with an area of your life or feel overwhelmed and troubled by certain feelings and emotions then talking things through with an experienced therapist can be extremely helpful. There are many reasons why people seek counselling - you may have recently experienced a relationship breakdown, you may be feeling extremely anxious, depressed, struggling with work stress or feel troubled by something from the past. Whatever your reason for seeking counselling, know that you are already showing courage and strength and I will work to support you in making positive changes and move forwards.

I worked as a solicitor for over 20 years, therefore I have a deep understanding of being in an ongoing stressful environment - whether that be at your job or at home.
If you need someone to talk to, I am here to listen. You may be feeling depressed, anxious or stressed, or that something is not quite right in your life. You may have feelings, thoughts and emotions that you feel unable to share with those around you. You may feel at sea in the noise of life and have lost sight of what makes you, ‘you’. It can feel overwhelming because you cannot hear your own thoughts. You will have the time and space in therapy to hear yourself think and to process your experiences and feelings.

If you are feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed, you don’t need to have everything figured out to start therapy — just a sense that something’s not working. I offer a grounded, thoughtful space to explore what’s going on beneath the surface: anxiety, low mood, relationship struggles, identity questions, or just feeling lost. Sessions can take place in person or outdoors as walk-and-talks, depending on what feels right for you. I currently have availability and offer reduced fees to keep therapy more accessible during times of transition.

I offer a nonjudgemental, calming and empathic space for anyone in need of support. We live in an increasingly difficult and stressful world and it can feel overwhelming at times. I hope to provide a safe space for an individual to be themselves and feel able to explore what it is that distresses them and what they need to feel better.

You may want to explore better ways of coping with old problems, or try to see different possibilities in your relationships, life or career.
Hello and welcome. It is normal to experience stages in life where it seems to make no sense, perhaps events feel overwhelming and life seems impossible to navigate. Alternatively relationships may be problematic or recurrent patterns of behaviour are negatively affecting everyday life. People find their way to therapy for many different reasons and it takes courage to make the decision. Coming from an Integrative approach means that I can draw from a range of therapeutic approaches. This enables me to engage with you in a way that will be most effective and tailored to best suit your individual needs.

I became a therapist because I believe in the power of healing, both in theory and in practice. I’ve seen transformation firsthand—through my own journey, through my training, and most powerfully, through the courage and growth of my clients. Every time someone dares to open up, to trust, to explore their pain and their potential—I am reminded why I do this work. My approach is grounded in deep presence. I offer a space that is accepting, non-judgmental, and real. Clients often tell me they feel like they're talking to someone who truly sees them—not just as a set of problems to solve, but as a whole person.

Career Guidance Counsellors

How do I know if I need career counselling?

Determining whether a career counsellor is needed involves assessing one's current career and identifying what changes can be made to improve one's overall quality of life. In particular, feelings of loss of motivation, fatigue, anxiety, depression, procrastination, or ongoing levels of high stress can all be indicative of a need for career-related counselling. In addition, individuals changing jobs may want the decision-making support or self-reflection opportunities provided by a career counsellor.

Who can benefit from career counselling?

Anyone can benefit from the self-reflection, skill development, and stress management techniques that career counselling can provide. However, individuals who are feeling overwhelmed or burnt out with their current job and individuals considering a major career change may particularly benefit from career counselling to improve their wellbeing. Additionally, individuals who are facing issues in their current job, such as coworker relationship challenges or not meeting performance goals, may benefit from the perspective that a career counsellor can provide. College-age or young professionals may also uniquely benefit from career counselling as they make key decisions surrounding education and job training that will impact their career trajectory.

How long does career counselling typically last?

The length of career counselling can vary greatly depending on the needs of the individual and what type of support they are seeking Career coaching or advising services—which serve clients in a specific, goal-oriented capacity—often last for a shorter duration and are sometimes only a single session or a few sessions in length. In contrast, career counselling as part of a more integrative therapeutic relationship with a counsellor may last longer, particularly if the issues faced by the client are longstanding and/or more complex in nature; in such cases, individuals may expect therapy to last multiple months or longer.

How to prepare for career counselling?

Clients can prepare for career counselling sessions by outlining the specific topics they would like to address with the counsellor, such as current job challenges or hopes for the future of their career. Compiling one's thoughts on such topics often requires reflection on one's career and future goals, which in itself can be beneficial for session preparation. Clients may also want to put together a list of questions they would like to ask the counsellor, particularly if the career counsellor they are seeing has particular expertise in a given career area. Conducting research into potential future jobs, training opportunities, or support resources in one's area may also help clients prepare for career counselling by providing them with a background of what resources are available in their area.
