Hi, my name is Carmel. I am a Person-Centred Therapist and I offer a safe, non-judgemental space to explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions. I am a fully qualified and registered member of the National Counselling Society and maintain a high standard of professionalism by complying with their ethical framework and codes of conduct. I am aware that a warm therapeutic working relationship between the counsellor and client is paramount and therefore strive to encourage and guide clients throughout this process by really listening, offering empathy and compassion and motivating them to be the people they were called to be.
I have significant experience of working with anxiety in all its forms, domestic abuse, narcissism and and bereavement. My Christian belief and understanding of the dignity of the human person is foundational to my counselling practice. I have also successfully worked with many clients with differing beliefs and cultures. I am here to help please reach out.
I am able to provide a confidential space to talk and my hope is that my clients will feel heard, valued and understood. I know from experience that individual counselling can help with personal issues in life such as anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, addictions, relationship difficulties, bereavement and many others.
