Women's Issues Counselling in London
Thank you for looking at my profile, I'm guessing this may be a big step and I understand that reaching out for help may be daunting or overwhelming, by the time people come here they have often spoken to family or friends.
Are you struggling with anxiety or low mood? Are you stuck in patterns of behaviour that no longer serve you? Are you dealing with the impact of childhood trauma? Maybe you just need a safe space to talk? No problem is too big or too small to bring to therapy.
I run a private practice from a garden room in my home and I work as a counsellor for the charity Mind.

If you’re caught in cycles of anxiety, relationship issues, or struggling after a breakup or divorce, you might feel exhausted by self-doubt, and the emotional ups and downs. You may long for clarity, calm, and a way to feel more secure in yourself and your relationships. If this describes you, I'm here to help. I'm also very much here to support the important changes and transitions of life - going to university, leaving home, finding a partner, living together, marriage, having a family, menopause, old age, and bereavement. Life shifts can be deeply unsettling, but we can work closely together to make them more manageable.

Sometimes the issues we carry feel too big or painful to put into words. Other times, they feel too small or strange to bring to therapy. You might worry you won’t be taken seriously—or that you’re “too much,” or “not enough.”
As a systemic therapist, I consider not just your internal world but also the relationships, histories, and wider social and cultural contexts that shape it. This means we might look together at recurring patterns, family dynamics, identity, or past experiences. My approach is collaborative and non-pathologising. I don’t offer quick fixes—but I do offer a space to think, feel, and be alongside.

My ideal client is someone who feels that something in their life no longer fits, even if they can’t quite explain why. Often, life looks fine on the outside, yet internally they may feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure of who they are becoming. This can show up in relationships, intimacy or desire, a sense of emotional flatness, or difficulty feeling at home in themselves.
They are often thoughtful and reflective, but feel caught in familiar patterns or disconnected from their body or emotions. They want space to understand themselves more fully. Their goal is to live in a way that feels more authentic, meaningful, and alive.

It can be hard to live in this world sometimes. Early experiences, uncertainty, loss, rejection, trauma, oppression and inequality can impact us in ways that are both subtle and obvious. Family dynamics and relationships with friends, partners and colleagues can be complex.
Therapy can offer a transformative space where experiences can be understood, where difficult and painful feelings can be explored, and where new ways of doing and being can be discovered.
I am an integrative therapist, and aim to offer a non-judgemental, calm, collaborative, compassionate and safe therapeutic space.

I support women with full, demanding lives to create clarity, balance, and meaningful change. My clients often feel stretched between work, family, and friendships while navigating significant life transitions such as identity shifts, bereavement, new beginnings at work, or perimenopause. Many come to therapy seeking a supportive relationship that allows them to reflect deeply and work toward the changes they want in their lives. Together, we explore what often goes unspoken, clarify what feels confusing or heavy, and uncover strengths and perspectives that guide lasting change.

I’m Kasia (she/her), a qualified therapist offering integrative counselling in Walthamstow (E17) and online.
Before training, I worked in fast-moving charity and corporate sectors, learning about pressure, burnout, and the quiet cost of holding everything together. That experience shapes my work and how I understand coping in different environments.
My approach is rooted in curiosity and care, and in the belief that healing happens through relationship and genuine connection. I offer an inclusive, respectful space to explore what feels vulnerable, uncertain, or unseen, with awareness of identity, belonging, and difference.

Whatever has brought you here, you’re already taking a step towards understanding yourself more deeply. You may feel things intensely and reflect a lot, but still find it hard to make sense of what’s happening right now. You may notice yourself going round in familiar patterns that leave you feeling stuck, ashamed, or disconnected from others and from yourself. Maybe you’re questioning aspects of identity, desire, sex and intimacy, and wanting more clarity, confidence, and ease in how you show up. At heart, you want to feel more alive, more connected with intuition, more at home in yourself, in your body, and in your relationships.

How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.
How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realised.
How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
