Somatic Counselling in London
You love God, but something still feels heavy. You struggle with self-doubt, shame, or a quiet sense of “never enough.” Relationships feel anxious or distant, and you long to feel secure with people and with God. Perhaps you serve faithfully yet feel disconnected inside. You want to trust more freely, rest without guilt, and live from a place of rooted worth rather than survival. You’re not broken — you’re carrying patterns shaped by early experiences, and you’re ready for healing.

We all face many challenges in our lives and rather than struggle alone sometimes it can help to reach out to a safe and reliable person outside of our friends and family network to share our thoughts and feelings, talk through our difficulties and find new ways of coping and making some positive changes in our lives. I am an experienced, warm and non-judgemental counsellor who can offer to help. Whether you need just a few sessions to to focus on a specific problem or wish to explore some long-standing issues in more depth then we can do so over a longer period of time.

Exploring identity, relationships, or past trauma? Have you been searching for answers as to why things don't fit or flow? Perhaps you've become increasingly frustrated or distraught about difficulties you're facing moving through the world. Why is it so challenging to just be 'me'? You wonder why relationships and connections don't come as easily to you as they seem to for others. Maybe you have a fair understanding of why: the shadows of past (or present) traumas encroaching on every facet of your life. Have you been searching for meaning, a deep connection, self-understanding, or just an untangling of a complicated life journey?

Many women carry the weight of early wounds quietly; managing family, faith and the expectations of their community while privately feeling disconnected from themselves. If you are a Muslim woman navigating the tension between who you are expected to be and who you truly are; this space is for you. I specialise in childhood trauma and relational wounds, supporting women understand how early experiences, attachment patterns, and cultural and faith dynamics have shaped their emotional world.

Hello, I'm Gina, a psychotherapist working in central London, in English, Spanish, and Italian.
People come to me for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes there's something specific: a relationship, a loss, a transition. Sometimes it's harder to name than that. Just a quiet sense that something isn't quite right, or that the same things keep happening no matter how hard you try.
In our work together, we slow down and pay attention to what is happening in the present, what the past is still asking, and what might be ready to shift.

I am a psychotherapist and supervisor and hold a master’s degree in Mindfulness Based Core Process Psychotherapy. Currently, I am also in the accreditation process for EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). One focus of my work is exploring the space where mind and body meet. I believe they are not separate. By listening to the body, we create pathways to our current and past experiences. This interest led me to EMDR and the idea that experiences can be ‘locked’ in our bodies. EMDR a method which is effective in treating individuals who have psychological difficulties arising from traumatic experiences.

We might also use gentle, somatic and compassion-based ways of helping you feel steadier and more connected to yourself.
Feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck — and not sure how to move forward? I currently have availability for new clients and offer a small number of reduced-fee sessions (£55–£70). You might be struggling to get through the day. Your thoughts may feel constant, or you may feel stuck in patterns that don’t shift, no matter how hard you try. You don’t have to manage this alone. I offer a calm, supportive space to make sense of what’s happening. I often work with anxiety, depression and ADHD-related difficulties, helping you feel more steady and in control.

Adverse life events are always at the root of suffering. This is why my work is Trauma Focused.
Remembering painful events can cause a great deal of distress, dissociation, and in my opinion, it is not always the right approach. This is why I prefer focusing on Reconciling with symptoms as opposed to Remembering the past.
My approach is an Integrative, Embodied, and Radically Relational Psychotherapy that promotes safety and trust within the self by using resources. This enable the roots of distress to reconcile with the present and symptoms to be released.

Approaching therapy can be a frightening decision but going through difficult moments in life alone may be even worse. You might be feeling hurt or uncertain about what is happening. There may be specific patterns of behaviour that come up that you do not understand or simply you might feel adrift, angry or anxious, struggling with the challenges you are facing. I aim to make therapy a place for you to come and really look at what is going on, so together we can begin to see things from a new angle. I am a qualified integrative counsellor and registered member of the BACP.
