If you are experiencing issues in your sex or relationship life, reach out to find out if we can work together to understand issues affecting you, and how they can be dealt with.
Individuals and couples are usually resourceful in resolving their issues, but if things do not seem to work out, it may take a neutral person with specific training to offer their perspective into the issues holding you back. Sexual problems are common, yet as it is such an intimate part of one's life, it may be daunting to seek help; having a supportive, confidential and compassionate environment where you can discuss these issues freely, without judgment can provide much needed insight and strategies to work through them.

I believe sexual expression, sexual enjoyment, intimacy and meaningful relationships are integral elements of who we are. On many occasions we don’t talk about our problems and worries because of shame. Sex and Relationship Psychotherapy is a safe non-judgmental space where we explore and work together on those issues affecting your sexuality or your relationships.

I specialize in working with the LGBTI and straight communities, and I coach them to reclaim their true authentic selves, so they can achieve relationship, sex and gender wholeness.
Whenever you're not willing to feel an emotion, your choices and behaviours stem from your avoidance of that emotion. Your resistance runs your life & is directly contrary to your overall best interest. Similarly, traumas are incidents unable to be completed. The energies of these traumas are stored in our body until they can be released. I assist you to unlock these traumas by reactivating the emotional responses to these trapped emotions, which unlocks the synapses in the brain, allowing new positive emotional learning to replace the old trauma. Your energy field then becomes less dense, & a new sense of freedom takes hold.

I am experienced in working with issues to do with gender and sexuality , relationship diversity (polyamory, non-monogamy etc) and provide an LGBTQ+ affirmative practice, but welcome clients from all backgrounds.
I am an integrative therapist, meaning I draw on multiple approaches and theories in my practice, but my way of working has been particularly shaped by relational psychotherapy and attachment theory. This means I believe that the relationships we experience in our early lives affect our later ways of relating to both ourselves and others. I believe that therapy is a fundamentally relational endeavour - not that people are broken and therefore need to be “fixed” - but rather that through working together we can come to new ways of relating, understanding and being.

Who is sex therapy for?

Sex problems are common in relationships. Many people want a better sex life and want to feel loved and desired by their partner. It is difficult for couples to resolve sexual problems on their own because people often feel ashamed to talk about their sexual desires fearing they are not normal, when in fact a very broad range of preferences and behaviors are normal. A sex therapist can help clarify this and other matters.

Why do people need sex therapy?

Many people do not know how to talk about their erotic needs or their emotional needs, both of which are addressed in sex therapy. Couples often live with sexual difficulties for years before seeking help, and in that time, partners may experience so much disappointment and alienation that they may fear their problems mean they are incompatible. Once people experience disappointment, it is difficult to find resolution without help.

What happens in sex therapy?

People have many misconceptions about what takes place in sex therapy. First, it is a form of talk therapy in which partners discuss their sexual concerns; it does not involve touching or physical exploration of any kind. Sex therapy typically helps couples get comfortable talking to each other about sex so that, in the privacy of their home life, they can openly discuss their sexual desires and make decisions about what they want to do. Couples are typically assigned activities to do at home that build intimacy skills.

What kinds of problems do sex therapists treat?

Very often, partners differ in their degree of sexual desire and struggle over how often to have sex. Or they may have fights about porn use or have difficulty connecting sexually after one partner is unfaithful. Men may have problems with premature ejaculation. Women may find themselves struggling to become aroused or to achieve an orgasm. Sometimes partners feel like they have lost the sense of attraction to their partner. These are all common issues dealt with in sex therapy.
