Seeking therapy can feel like a huge step. Whether you’ve recently been thinking about finding support, or it’s been on your mind for a long time, I’m here to listen and offer an empathic, compassionate space where we can focus on what you need. There is a lot of power in simply being able to speak your mind in a non-judgemental space.

We all have the capacity for growth, given the right conditions. Part of what therapy can be is the creation of a space where those conditions are met. During our 50 minute sessions, we will work toward a common goal. My role is to try to understand your lived experiences, in a confidential, non-discriminatory environment. Not to judge you. But most importantly therapy is about what you want to use the time and space for. People think of counselling as a last resort. We often keep our problems to ourselves, we compound all that feeling and pain and it emerges in our day to day lives in different ways, depression, stress, anxiety.

I am an experienced counsellor who provides an empathic, supportive, and non-judgemental space in which an authentic dialogue can develop to explore what’s going on for you. I aim to help you navigate your thoughts, feelings, and experiences to deepen your awareness of how it is to be you. I believe that in an empathic and safe therapeutic relationship, you can access your inner resources to help you heal and grow. I understand how daunting it can be asking for help and sometimes it’s not clear what needs to change in your life to help you feel better. In your own time, we can work together to better understand this.

At times, life can feel hard to manage. When this happens, it helps to have a space where we can be listened to, just as we are, so we can make sense of what's happening. You may feel anxious, stuck, trapped or hopeless - maybe something's missing but you can't work out what. Or something has left you reeling, but when you try and talk to friends and family, they say it's normal so you should "just be able to cope with it". Perhaps you feel isolated and alone, unable to engage with loved ones, overwhelmed by routine and responsibility or feeling like you have to look fine and be strong for everyone around you.

I help people with a broad range of difficulties, and have particular experience in relationship problems, anxiety, trauma, CPTSD, dissociation, bereavement, terminal or chronic illnesses, addictions, infertility, the effects on clients of the narcissistic and borderline behaviours of others, and adult ADHD. By reflecting and exploring difficult and troubling feelings and experiences I can help guide you through to a place where you can decide what to accept and what to change in order to move forwards in a more knowing manner.

Starting therapy can be a difficult step to take, and finding the right therapist can be an even tougher decision. That's why I offer a free 20-minute consultation to see if we feel like we'd be well suited to working together. Sometimes in life we feel stuck or trapped. We're keen to move forward - be it in a relationship, a job or in searching for our purpose in the world - but we can't seem to get there. I offer a space to explore why that might be and how you unlock your personal growth and live a more fulfilling life.

It can be exhausting to navigate life’s challenges, particularly within this current climate of uncertainty. You may be impacted by particular concerns, such as current or past trauma, bereavement/loss, struggles within your relationships, anxiety or depression. Or you may desire to increase your own self-awareness. I strive to be alongside you in whatever you may be feeling, providing a genuine, empathetic, non-judgemental, safe space where you can explore your feelings and beliefs, how your present and past experiences may be impacting upon you, and developing the personal resilience, resources and growth that you may be seeking.

Do you struggle with ADHD, Addiction or Trauma? Have you tried ways of managing any of these aspects and felt that its not working, not sustainable or just to painful? Maybe you dont know where to start or really what the problem is. Therapy or coaching is a great place to start your journey and make sense of how you feel, what you would like to achieve and what this may look like. Sometimes life can feel complicated and feeling heard and making sense of why you may be feeling like you do can be a great starting place.

We can all face difficulties in our lives and sometimes it’s helpful to talk things through in a safe, warm and accepting environment. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, relationship issues, life transitions or other challenges, we can work together to gain insight into the difficulties you are facing and your responses to them. Insight can facilitate change. When we are stuck in the past it robs us of the richness of the present moment and limits who we can be. Together we can move towards healing and self discovery and explore what's preventing you from living a more free and fulfilling life.

There are many reasons for seeking therapy and it is a big step to ask for help. Sometimes it is about coming to terms with a life event such as a relationship breakdown or a bereavement, sometimes long standing feelings of anxiety, depression or plain unhappiness and sometimes a general sense that things are not right. The thoughts, feelings and behaviours which are causing difficulties in your daily life are likely to have their origins in the past, in patterns set up in early relationships which are no longer helpful. Working together, we can begin to make sense of your experience freeing you to live a better life.
