A warm, culturally aware therapist supporting anxiety, neurodiversity, relationships and intimacy. You may be living with anxiety, panic, or a constant sense of being on edge. You might be autistic or neurodivergent and feel misunderstood in relationships, work, or intimacy. Perhaps you’re struggling with sexual concerns, shame, or feeling disconnected from your partner, especially within a cross-cultural relationship. You want a space where you don’t have to explain yourself or fit in. Your hope is to feel calmer, more confident, and able to build relationships that feel safe, authentic, and fulfilling.

Do you want to understand why you always act the way you do? Does it seem to you that your behavior follows repetitive patterns and you'd like to be able to change it, but you tend to always fall back into the same ruts? How about starting from the beginning and trying to understand what's going on?

If you want to stop suffering and letting control go. If it looks like you’re coping. Because you show up, achieve, keep going.. Yet inside, you feel empty, disconnected, overwhelmed, exhausted..Perhaps you’ve survived by staying in control, pushing feelings down, avoiding what feels too much — afraid that if you truly let yourself feel, everything will unravel. Over time, the pressure builds: holding it in until it spills out, then guilt, shame, self-criticism. You don’t have to carry it alone. You deserve to be accompanied and supported. Living life with joy and less pressure, you deserve a life more open, grounded and peaceful

You came in uncertain, maybe a little sceptical. You weren't sure therapy could help, or that anything could. But you did the work. Something shifted. Not magic, not overnight but real, lasting change that you still feel today. You moved forward. You built something better. That person is who I work best with. Someone willing to engage, to be honest, to take their goals seriously. Someone who doesn't need endless sessions just the right ones. If you're ready to be the kind of person who looks back a year from now and thinks that was the turning point, DoorToTherapy this is the right place to start.

I provide a warm, creative, and permissive space where you can explore personal issues and emotions at your own pace. I believe the body holds our experiences, and that healing comes through developing mindfulness, presence, and embodiment. In a relational way, we can look at how family history, personality, trauma, and wider social forces shape your current experience. This process can increase awareness, acceptance, and the capacity for change, whether we work together in the short or long term.

I offer a warm and supportive space to support your growth and healing process. "Someone I loved once gave me a box full of darkness. It took me years to understand That this too, was a gift." Mary Oliver . Mental and emotional suffering are part of life, the pain at times can be too much to bear on our own, which impacts our ability to enjoy life. Counselling can be a safe space to be held, seen and find the gifts that otherwise could be lost in the crisis and challenges we face. Suffering is inevitable but it does not need to be endless. I offer free teachings on self-care through my Instagram and YouTube accounts.

I work with a wide range of clients, however, most clients reach out to me when they are looking to work around relationships, low mood or anxiety, and difficulties in adjusting to change. Overall, my aim is to help my clients gain insight into their struggles and find different ways of thinking, behaving, and feeling about life and their circumstances. Change can sometimes be a painful and intimidating process, but working with someone willing to walk alongside you and help you develop the skills to manage the process can certainly make the therapeutic journey a pleasant and enjoyable one.

Many people come to therapy with me carrying something familiar — anxiety, self-doubt, a sense of pressure, or an ongoing unease — even if they’re not sure why it keeps showing up or why it doesn’t seem to shift. Often, people can recognise what’s happening for them, yet feel frustrated that it continues despite their best efforts. In our work together, how you relate to yourself often comes into focus first, alongside patterns such as overthinking, people-pleasing, or holding yourself to high standards, and questions about identity, belonging, and expectations around how life is supposed to look, and why it no longer fits.

Hispanic and Latino Counsellors
What makes a Hispanic and Latino therapist effective?
An effective Hispanic and Latino therapist can combine a culturally sensitive lens with proven therapies, such as Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). They may have an understanding of cultural attitudes to therapy, including potential stigma, and can help a client navigate those concerns. Some clients may also appreciate a therapist who is bilingual and is comfortable conversing with the client in both English and Spanish. Languages spoken are indicated on a therapist’s directory profile.

Why is it important for a therapist to be culturally sensitive?
A culturally sensitive therapist is respectful and considerate of all groups, and may have specific expertise with individuals of a certain ethnicity. These considerations can help a client feel understood and can improve the therapeutic alliance. While some people think highlighting race and ethnicity could promote stereotypes and bias, most agree that knowledge about cultural differences enhances the alliance between therapist and client.

How can I recognise a therapist who has expertise working with Hispanic and Latino clients?
Successful therapy depends a great deal on the relationship between client and therapist. Start by asking the therapist about their overall approach to therapy. You may then wish to ask about the therapist’s educational background and any additional training in cultural sensitivity that they have undertaken.

How might I inquire about a therapist's experience with Hispanic and Latino clients?
Ask a potential therapist whether they've worked with individuals who share this background or whether they’ve worked in these communities. If so, you may wish to ask them to elaborate on ways that they feel especially prepared to work with Hispanic and Latino clients. If they have not worked with such clients, they may know someone who has and be able to make a referral.

Who is included in Psychology Today’s directory of Hispanic and Latino therapists?
The directory of Hispanic and Latino therapists includes providers who have identified their ethnicity in their profiles. Psychology Today uses this information to assist clients in finding a therapist who can provide a cultural match. However, not all therapists choose to disclose their ethnicity in their profiles, and they may not appear in search results for this reason. When the number of therapists near you who identify as Hispanic and Latino is limited, the directory will also show therapists with comprehensive experience working with clients from relevant backgrounds.
