I have experience of working with individuals who have been through a
bereavement
and the difficulties of living with life limiting illnesses.
Hello my name is Naina, welcome to my profile. Making the decision to begin counselling can be a difficult and daunting one. Counselling can help us to reconnect to ourselves by exploring our narratives, gaining a deeper understanding of who we are, and to develop a better relationship with ourselves and others. I feel forming a therapeutic relationship with my clients is key for our work together. We can work together to empower you to find your own answers and find the happiness that you are searching for.

I have a wide experience with a multi-ethnic and diverse clientele, including
bereavement
and pre-
bereavement
, families, parenting, life transitions, relationships, trauma, abuse, employment difficulties, anxiety and depression, cultural issues, among others.
Sometimes our problems feel too huge or too painful, sometimes they feel too small to believe they will be taken seriously. Sometimes they just feel too weird, or embarrassing. I welcome you wherever you find yourself, without judgment or expectation. As we work together to unpick the issues you feel are in question, my hope for you is that you will make new discoveries about your sense of yourself. We will explore your present experience, bring your patterns of relating into your awareness, tracing how your past impacts your present, so that you can find your own unique way through the maze and noise, rebuilding your self-love.

I have worked with a wide range of issues such as addictions, mens issues,
bereavement
, relationships, abuse, depression and racial/cultural identity.
Hello there and welcome to my profile. Clients are always welcome to bring any issue to therapy, no matter how big or small they may feel it is and would like support with their issue. They have a desire to bring about change and are willing to work together to bring about it. They've come to therapy because they would like to explore, understand themselves better, their issue and the emotions surrounding it. To process what is or has happened. To make a real lasting impact. I offer a competitive rate because I truly believe that therapy should be as accessible as possible.

Perhaps you are experiencing anxiety or depression, or you may have gone through a life event that has set you adrift. You may be in pain or you may be curious to look deeper within yourself and work out the jigsaw that is “you”. I believe that
loss
is central to many of our issues. It can be
loss
in the most extreme way through
bereavement
but it may also be
loss
in a more general way : the
loss
of our identity or purpose. I help my clients to adjust to change - indeed to see change as inevitable and to embrace the growth opportunities it presents.

I have worked with people of all ages, and clients dealing for a range of concerns, including
bereavement
, anxiety, self-esteem, and identity issues.
I have trained in existential psychotherapy, and I apply this in my work with clients. The starting point is the experience of the client, to provide the opportunity for them to examine their understanding of life, and the problems and dilemmas they face; to reassess their goals and desires. It provides an opportunity to consider how their choices have been constrained, perhaps by the views and expectations of others, but also by constraints rooted in our society. Understanding can lead to questioning, and growth, possibly in new directions.

Life has a tendency to throw major challenges at us without warning. You may find yourself dealing with a specific life changing circumstance such as a new diagnosis,
bereavement
, traumatic experiences, relationship difficulties or redundancy to name a few. Sometimes being able to pin point feelings can be a little difficult. You may be experiencing feelings of being stuck and are anxious, depressed or just unsure of how you currently feel about your life or a certain situation.

Hi there. I'm a qualified BACP registered counsellor working with people who are finding something in their life difficult to cope with whether that be feelings of anxiety, depression, the
loss
of a loved one or something else. Perhaps a relationship has come to an end, or you have started feeling very anxious or/and depressed. You might be finding it hard to enjoy your life and feel confused that you feel this way. You might have lost someone you cared about and feel like it's hard to cope, that there is little to look forward to and that it's unclear what is going on and tough to make sense of things.

I have extensive experience working within GP practices, NHS services and specifically with pregnancy-related issues all over London - which has enabled me to meet people from all walks of life! I work with depression, anxiety,
loss
and
bereavement
, relationship issues, pregnancy-related issues, young adult issues, cultural issues and health conditions.
We all face hardships and difficulties at points in our lives and it’s not easy owning that we can’t always face this alone, but seeking therapy is a brave step and may be the first needed to initiate change. I believe that therapy can be a life-changing experience to enhance your self-awareness and self-understanding, leading to personal growth and development. Through a collaborative therapeutic experience we may explore past behaviours and relationships and how these affect you today, or explore philosophically the meaning you're giving to your current life and how you may wish to develop this.

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist which means I might chose to pull my approach from several different modalities depending on each clients needs. I specialise in areas of trauma/abuse, identity, relationships with self and others, life transitions,
bereavement
, pre/post natal and anxiety. Our work will be non-judgemental and grounded in honesty, trust and mutual respect. The space we create for you to explore within will be supportive, safe and compassionate. There will be challenges; often this work is about processing deep rooted beliefs and thought-processes/patterns that require committed ongoing reflection and action.

How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.
When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.
Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.
What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
