I have worked in a variety of NHS settings including; The National and Specialist Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Service for Children and Young People, HIV and Sexual Health and Infant and Maternal Mental Health.
I am an experienced Chartered Clinical Psychologist trained in a variety of therapeutic models and approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprogramming (EMDR). My therapeutic style is integrative which means I use a range of therapeutic approaches depending on client needs and preferences, so I tend not to stick rigidly to a one size fits all way of working. This allows me to be flexible and client-centred no matter who I am working with.

Waiting List for Low Cost Psychosexual Therapy Beginning in Sept. '26 Therapy that leads somewhere. It’s our relationships that make the difference. People who work with me build a relationship that supports lasting and meaningful change in their life. Working with me allows you to gain perspectives you cannot get on your own, and the support to shift unwanted patterns and dynamics. Warmth matters, but so does direction.

I work with people facing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, panic, depression, low self-esteem, OCD, phobias, social anxiety, and other life challenges.
Many people I see have been putting off seeking help, even when life feels overwhelming or difficult to manage. Getting the right support can make a difference. I’m a BABCP-accredited CBT Therapist and EMDR-Certified Therapist with over a decade of ongoing NHS experience. Trained at King’s College London, I offer a space where you can talk openly and be heard. My approach is calm, collaborative, and attuned to how life feels for you right now. Together, we can reflect on what's happening in your life and make sense of your experiences. We'll also work to help you engage with life in ways that feel right for you.

We believe that everyone is unique and therefore is dealt with in a way that best caters to his or her individual needs. We work with you by exploring your world to see how you engage with your life and the people around you. Along the journey, we will explore your past, look at your present and see how you perceive the future. We will help you become more aware of your values, beliefs and limitations and help you connect and improve your relationship with yourself. This process may be challenging, yet extremely rewarding as we access the changes you want to make towards living the life that you want to live.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Counsellors
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine, fluoxetine, and sertraline, among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
