Taking that first step towards professional support can feel daunting, especially when anxiety, stress, or low energy is weighing you down. As your psychologist, my mission is to empower you on this journey, equipping you with the tools and strategies needed to overcome life's challenges and rediscover balance. Mental health struggles can spill over into everyday life, affecting your sleep, self-confidence, and even your physical health. Relationships and social connections may feel strained, and it can be difficult to find joy in the things you once loved.

I offer a safe and confidential space and a therapeutic relationship to explore what's pushing you down or holding you back, to help you move forward from difficult experiences, and to gain more freedom, ease, and creativity in your life. As a UKCP accredited integrative therapist with a background in psychology obtained in the US, I hold a balance between different theories and therapy approaches in line with your needs. Where appropriate, we can integrate EMDR to help you process trauma and stuck experiences, within a holding therapeutic relationship. I work with individuals and with LGBTQ couples both short-term and longer term.

I believe therapy can offer a safe space for self-discovery that provides you with an opportunity to creatively discover how you want to live. I am particularly inclined to listen to how an individual describes their world, as I believe each person experiences life in a unique way that can rarely be communicated to someone else. I have worked extensively with individuals facing challenges such as anxiety (towards a specific situation and generalised), depression, breakdown of a relationship, grieving, work issues, infertility and addiction. I also focus on the metaphysical meaning of physical illness to improve wellbeing.

I've worked for six years supporting people suffering with eating disorders, body image issues, anxiety, depression and various addictions. My extensive experience has shown me that these symptoms are often a response to distressing or painful situations which can come from all areas of life, perhaps difficult relationships, grief or troubling events. I strive to meet all my clients with unconditional positive regard, with compassion and empathy. I work alongside my clients to nurture a space where they feel they can bring all of themselves, and meet even the most painful or shamed parts without judgment or criticism.
