I offer in-person sessions in Finsbury Park, Walthamstow or online.
I am an integrative therapist and counsellor with an interest in the unique experiences of clients who struggle to "fit in". I work closely with clients who have struggled with self-esteem and identity, relationship issues, family conflict, life transitions, and suspected/ late-diagnosed ADHD. I am particularly interested in the impact of structural power differences, working with clients through issues to do with patriarchy, race, culture and more. I work with creative tools in addition to talking therapy, including meditation, art and nature.

I work with adults who experience psychological difficulties, including feeling emotionally stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in recurring patterns, particularly in relationships or during periods of transition. Some people seek therapy for anxiety or low mood; others for longstanding relational difficulties, concerns about identity or self-esteem, or the impact of loss or trauma. Often, there is a sense that something important is being repeated without full awareness of why. Psychotherapy offers a space to think about what feels confusing or distressing, with the aim of developing greater insight and lasting change.

I am a counselling psychologist and have worked with a diverse range of clients in NHS, charity, and educational settings. You may be seeking support for a specific issue such as anxiety, depression, low mood, relationship or interpersonal difficulties, low self-esteem, trauma, or loss. Or perhaps you're seeking a space to think more generally about your experiences, explore the impact they have on your life, and gain a better understanding of yourself. My aim is to provide a safe, empathic, and non-judgemental space where you can speak about your life in a way that feels most comfortable for you.

I work from quiet, comfortable therapy rooms near Finsbury Park in North London, or online via Zoom
Many people seek out therapy when they are having challenges within their relationships, with partners, families or friends. There may be a crisis, or a transition/new situation that feels too much to integrate. Recurring anxieties or patterns, perhaps a sense that looking back in more depth may be helpful. I am an experienced, dynamic and compassionate psychotherapist, committed to my work. I am conscious of how difficult it can be to start talking openly, and my aim will always be to establish a safe, creative connection – so that what has perhaps previously been unspoken can be shared, processed and understood together.

Hello, I’m Tiffany. I work with adults who feel stuck in patterns they can’t quite shift, whether that’s anxiety, overthinking, low confidence, sleep issues, or relationships that don’t feel quite right. You might find yourself replaying conversations, second-guessing your decisions, or wondering why you keep ending up in the same situations (especially when it comes to dating or relationships). On the outside things might look fine, but internally it feels unsettled, exhausting, or confusing. Therapy with me is a space to slow things down, understand what’s really going on underneath, and start making changes that actually last.

Relationships can get stuck in repetitive patterns. Issues that therapy can help with and that are often hard to overcome include: low self esteem, relationship issues , depression, childhood trauma, sexual issues, anxiety and stress . I also work with bereavement, loss, addiction and substance misuse , health related issues.

I offer 1:1 therapy in-person and online on a weekly basis for 50 minutes.
I understand how overwhelming the initial steps towards reaching out for therapy and choosing a therapist can feel like a daunting leap. You may not even be entirely sure what has brought you to this point or what you are seeking. It can even feel like trying to choose someone from a dating app. My primary focus is noticing the therapeutic relationship as it plays out during sessions between myself and the client. This helps me to gain a sense of the client's external world outside of therapy. I work as an integrative therapist combining different therapeutic approaches depending on the situation that arises.

Hello and welcome, I believe that it's vital to get the right support when life isn't going so well. I also believe that all of us carry pain within and occasionally find ourselves in dark woods. Therefore, we shouldn’t feel any shame or judgment in discussing our life experiences. My journey to becoming a therapist began as a direct result of my personal therapy and how beneficial and life-changing it was for me. I am convinced that the most important factor in therapy is the trusting therapeutic relationship. Therefore I offer compassion and a non-judgemental attitude as a starting point to meet each other.

We all face times when life feels overwhelming and we can't seem to find a way forward. You may be feeling anxious or depressed, you may be experiencing relationship difficulties or feel stuck in unhelpful patterns from the past. As an integrative psychotherapist, I offer a warm and safe space where you can speak freely about whatever is troubling you. Developing a supportive relationship with my clients is at the heart of my work. I believe it's the relationships we forge in life that allow us to grow. I also believe that, however great the challenges we face, we all have it within us to change our experience.

I offer therapy sessions in-person, or online, (or a mixture of the two), depending on personal circumstances.
Life can be difficult, and the stories we tell ourselves can often limit and block us in leading the life we truly want to lead. Through my work as an integrative therapist, I draw on a variety of different approaches, to assist you in meeting your particular needs and goals. I use the relationship we gradually build together to shine a light on understanding other relationships in your life, to better understand yourself, and develop the resources to live more authentically.

I offer 60 minute counselling sessions online, during daytime hours only.
Having lived in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, America, France and now the UK, I work with your cultural, social and spiritual uniqueness. I currently identify as my own blend of brown, Muslim, and queer, all parts of those in constant motion. None of us are free until we are all free and so I am committed to practicing with a decolonial approach - acknowledging intersectional complexities, such as systems of oppression, neurodiversity and GSRD (gender, sexual, and relationship diversity). My approach is informed by both theoretical learning and my lived experiences, which allows me to be real and human alongside you.

FAQ - About Teletherapy
Is online therapy as effective as in-person?
Numerous studies suggest that online therapy can be as effective as in-person therapy. However, further research is needed to determine if online therapy provides the same benefits across all client populations. Individuals with severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, or those who may benefit from in-person check-ins, like those with eating disorders, may not experience the same level of benefit from online therapy. Nonetheless, the success of online therapy, much like in-person therapy, often hinges on the quality of the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client rather than the specific modality of therapy used.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of therapy conducted online?
One of the main advantages of online therapy is its convenience for both clients and therapists. It also allows clients who require specialised therapy to access a wider range of professionals than they could with only in-person sessions. Additionally, online therapy may be a more affordable option in some cases and often offers the same insurance benefits as in-person therapy. However, online therapy may not be suitable for everyone, especially those who value face-to-face interaction with a therapist. Therapists may find it more challenging to assess clients accurately in an online setting due to reduced nonverbal cues on camera. There is also the increased risk that disruptions caused by external factors, such as technology malfunctions, can hinder the therapy session. For these reasons, many therapists offer a "hybrid" therapeutic approach, alternating between seeing clients in-person and online.

Is online therapy suitable for children and adolescents?
Just like with adults, the accessibility and convenience of online therapy can greatly benefit children and adolescents. In fact, children and adolescents may be more accustomed to navigating online platforms than older adults, making online sessions feel more natural for them. Teens might also be interested in using additional online tools, such as therapist-recommended apps, as an adjunct to online therapy sessions. Apps for developing CBT skills, practicing mindfulness exercises, or tracking thoughts and moods can be helpful for teens receiving therapy. However, it's important to note that not all therapeutic modalities are well-suited to online therapy, especially those used with younger children. For example, play therapy, which helps younger children express their emotions, often requires in-person sessions to be fully effective.

Can I receive prescriptions and medication management with online therapy?
The ability for psychiatrists to prescribe medications through online therapy varies based on the medication and the states where the medical professional and client are located. While many prescribing regulations were relaxed during the COVID-19 pandemic, some states still enforce rules, especially concerning controlled substances, which may mandate an in-person visit before prescribing. Generally, however, medical professionals can prescribe non-controlled substances through online therapy sessions just as they do during in-person sessions.
