Reaching out can feel daunting - I offer empathy and a safe, supportive, environment in which we can explore issues and identify: your strengths, values, goals, alternative perspectives and potential changes. Many clients present with anxiety, depression, stress or lacking meaning/joy - we can address the issues that may feel overwhelming and disentangle them. We can either work on longer-term deeper changes or employ short-term strategies. Personal histories can impact on people and you have the option to address yours and change your lived experience. I work with diverse clients of all ethnicities/genders/sexualities/body shapes.

I understand that life can be difficult and challenging and you may be struggling because you are going through a transitional period or feeling stuck which can be hard to deal with on your own, but it does not have to be. I provide a safe and supportive setting, free from intrusions and distractions that is confidential and respectful, whilst maintaining impartiality, integrity, and reliability. "The journey to healing is unique and personal one and you will need a guide, but the maps we are using does not identify the precise journey that we will take to get you there. However, I will be there with you to support you."

Hello, I’m Matthew (he/him), a therapist offering online and phone therapy for LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent adults — including those with ADHD, autism, or who are exploring identity, burnout, or relationship struggles. You don’t need to mask here. You don’t need to perform or explain yourself. This is a space to be fully you. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of where to go next in life. Maybe you're navigating big transitions, patterns that feel hard to shift, or a deep sense of being “too much” or “not enough.” Whatever brings you here, you’re welcome — exactly as you are.

Undertaking psychotherapy can be daunting, especially nowadays, when so many different types of therapy are available. It can be overwhelming to make that decision. In my approach, I believe that each situation is unique. Through my experience of working with teenagers and their families, as well as adults in individual and group modalities and couples, I learned to develop a sensitive ear for my client’s needs. We all sometimes struggle due to external or internal pressures or a combination. However, I deeply believe that facing difficulties with compassion and an open mind can be liberating.

I am an experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor. I offer a confidential and safe space where we can think about what is troubling you in a non-judgemental setting. People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. Life can throw upsetting things at us and sometimes we find ourselves affected by events more than we expect. Psychodynamic therapy provides an opportunity to discover the unconscious processes that drive our responses and behaviours. Once these processes are acknowledged, we have the choice of changing how we react. This can help us to feel better about ourselves and live a more fulfilling life.

I am an MBACP registered psychotherapist. I work with clients of all ages, but have a particular interest in working with children and young people. I have a longstanding interest in how our early relationships affect our development. I offer counselling (including play therapy where appropriate) and parenting support. I work as an integrative therapist. This means I blend elements from different approaches and I tailor this according to each of my client’s needs. This can include exploring how buried thoughts, feelings and experiences shape our current relationships.

Being heard and understood in a safe confidential space, with a down to earth professional who understands that each person is unique, is an important part of therapy. Making time to work on 'self' is difficult. Often the Self-Critic, Negative Thoughts, Past &/or Present events, disrupt everyday life. Accessing Therapeutic services for the MIND can be like the gym, for the body. Reduce anxiety/unrest and promote Psychological Balance. Coping with life transforms into living life. Access Equality Counselling for everyone.
