I have over 7 years experience practising somatic therapy, with additional extensive training in existential analysis, logotherapy, interpersonal neurobiology, internal family systems ( IFS), trauma/PTSD/CPTSD, psychedelics assisted therapy, Buddhism, Classical Tantra, and transpersonal psychology.
Transformation begins with awareness, listening deeply to what is already within, and expanding that awareness to unlock new possibilities. My work supports you in reconnecting with your authentic self in grounded, embodied, and profoundly human ways. Together, we explore the core motivations that drive your existence, guiding you to make authentic choices and live in alignment with your true self.

Practicing Internal Family Systems Therapy ( IFS) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
IFS therapy looks at our inner world as a family system of sub-personalities which all have their own needs and wants, it helps us talk to them, solve inner conflicts, remove blocks and limiting beliefs, heal trauma so that our internal system becomes balanced and functions smoothly.

I draw on relational psychoanalysis, attachment theory, Internal Family systems, ACT and humanistic approaches.
My experience includes working with: anxiety: panic attacks, chronic worry/intrusive thoughts, low self-esteem, impact of experiencing childhood bullying/violence, relationship/sexuality issues, stress, CPTSD. I did an MA in and still work in the arts. I bring to my practice an understanding of the pressures creative and/or high pressure jobs can present.

I am also influenced by body psychotherapy, IFS, polyvagal theory and attachment theory.
I work with a wide variety of people, but people who have seen me include queer people, trans and non-binary people, neurodivergent people (especially ADHD and autistic women and afab people), people who are non-monogamous, people from a working class background, people of colour, sex workers, and people who practice kink/BDSM. I also frequently work with people who have auto-immune or chronic illness, and those with Long Covid. My therapeutic approach is influenced by queer theory, intersectional feminism and disability justice.

With say IFS we can meet those parts in conflict and negotiate with them so you are freer to live your life.
Feeling stuck? The causes can be many: relationship issues, redundancy, bored in the job or even things sometimes termed as “mental illness.” I use that last term carefully because though it can help define the symptoms, if often fails to get at the human story beneath which is always there and needs addressing as well as any medical issues. In my sessions my aim is to help you past what eve holds you back into a better life- whatever that means to you.

Our sessions are primarily conversational, but, I sometimes use imagery, chair work, mindfulness, breathing techniques, & subpersonalities (similar to IFS).
Are you feeling exhausted by life’s demands? Prehards you’ve always felt alone. Maybe you feel emotionally overwhelmed right now. Life can be difficult, and some experiences are profoundly painful. While everyone's challenges are unique, asking for help is always nerve-wracking; it takes a leap of faith to reach out! Still, therapy can change your life. I’m an experienced and fully qualified therapist registered with the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists. I offer individual counselling and psychotherapy sessions for adults of varying lengths, in either French (mother tongue) or English, according to your needs.

Together, we find healthy ways to experience these emotions using a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Mentalisation-Based Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Even though you have what might seem like "a good life," you may still feel a deep sense of emptiness and struggle with overwhelming anxiety and difficult emotions. At times, it might be hard to even identify what you're feeling. These challenges could stem from a difficult childhood, particularly in your relationships with your parents or siblings, affecting how you connect with others today. We refer to these experiences as attachment trauma or childhood emotional neglect. However, these patterns don’t have to define your future; healing and change are possible.

I utilise a relational and integrative approach including Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy and Internal Family Systems to help my clients to recognise patterns that no longer serve them, and to identify healthier ways of relating to themselves and other people.
I offer compassionate, trauma-informed support for personal growth and healing. I'll support you to not only recognise the ways in which trauma is impacting the ways you relate to yourself and others, but also to uncover new strengths and opportunities for personal growth beyond the challenges you've have faced. I have often found that understanding people's diagnoses and symptoms as responses to what they have lived through is valuable in helping them shed the self-blame they might carry. Often, people find themselves stuck in cycles of behaviour that no longer serve them, yet feel at a loss for how to make meaningful change.

I work with individuals as a Coaching Psychologist, specializing in Internal Family Systems therapy ( IFS).
The way we are can madden us, our minds repeatedly returning to anxious, painful or critical thoughts. It can feel as though we are getting nowhere, or, more frustratingly, that we get in our own way, stumbling against familiar issues and destructive behaviours. We can appear to ourselves like outsiders, like there is nowhere that we belong and as if we are less than who we hoped we’d be. Issues emerge of perfectionism, anger, despair, lack of confidence – we understand that self-worth is important, but how do we attain it? Especially in a world which won’t validate us. Our attention may turn inwards, but it’s rarely kind.

I have an integrative approach and use several modalities depending on what your therapeutic journey may need; Psychodynamic, Psychosynthesis, working with 'parts' similar to Internal Family Systems and Gestalt.
My name is Ella and I am a therapist based in the London. You may be struggling with anxiety, social anxiety, stress, depression, overwhelm, feelings of loneliness, significant loss and grief. Maybe you are struggling with important relationships in your life. Perhaps your struggle is not that clear and you have a feeling that something isn't quite right. I can help. I have helped clients find confidence, clarity, understanding, self-esteem, a way to express themselves and find meaning in an increasingly demanding world. I also work with couples helping them to find ways to better communicate, to feel seen and heard by each other.

I consider various theoretical and trauma-informed approaches, including internal family systems ( IFS), that may benefit our work as you explore how your past shapes your present and heal the parts of yourself that may feel wounded, stuck, or caught in unhelpful patterns.
With over 17 years of experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist, I bring a creative approach, openness, and curiosity to support your journey toward deeper self-awareness, growth, understanding, and healing. I offer a supportive and attentive presence as we work together to explore what’s happening and identify your needs. Therapy is often perceived as hard work, and it can be. However, making meaningful changes creates more space for self-discovery, acceptance, and celebration.

Whist integrating many useful approaches to therapeutic work, such as relational psychodynamic, somatic, and IFS, I work from a black empathic and feminist perspective, which welcomes people of all genders, racial and ethnic identities, and (dis)abilities, recognising that every person's experience must be seen in context of their position in their family, culture, and wider society.
Hi, I'm Karmela at Mixed Emotions Counselling. As a fully qualified and insured counsellor and psychotherapist, I will work with you collaboratively, as a team focused on you, where you are the expert on your life and I provide empathy, challenge, insight and practical strategies. The most important aspect of therapy is that we "click" and feel a connection that allows you to open up and feel safe and understood. Whether you're looking for more clarity in your life, support with life changes, relationships, or managing anxiety or depression, we can work through it together. All identities and orientations are respected and welcome.

Hi there, I'm Will, and whatever brings you here today – welcome, maybe I can help. I'm a BACP registered counsellor based in London Bridge, Crystal Palace and online, offering therapy to individuals and couples. I work in a way that is kind, thoughtful and imaginative. First and foremost, I listen deeply – to the content and the process. Over time, I seek to make connections between patterns in your day-to-day life, to patterns from your past, to patterns in the dynamic between us. The result is a growing space of awareness around these that, grounded in a supportive relationship, fosters clarity, meaning and positive change.

What is Internal Family Systems therapy?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?

An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?

IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
