You’ve explored BPD, C-PTSD and Depression and related to everything a little. Maybe you’ve been “holding it together” for so long, you barely notice the weight anymore. You care deeply and overthink everything. You find yourself stuck replaying patterns or caught in a loop of shame and self-doubt. Or maybe you have a difficult relationship with your feelings. You consider leaving before anyone else does. I work with people who are tired of just surviving. My approach is shaped by Interpersonal Neurobiology and Attachment theory and by the belief that your body remembers, you matter, and it’s okay to never get over some things.

Life can feel overwhelming at times—whether it’s the relentless pressure of a high-stakes career, grappling with stress, anxiety, loss, or struggling to fully accept yourself. Everyone faces moments of uncertainty, anxiety, and challenge. Whatever you're going through, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I understand the emotional weight of seeking belonging and the courage it takes to move towards self-acceptance. I can help you understand yourself better, break free from limiting beliefs and empower yourself to embrace a more joyful, balanced life.

Do any of these feel familiar? - You're exhausted from holding it all together, but still feel stuck - You feel pulled between different expectations of who you should be - Something from your past keeps showing up in your present - You've been told you're 'too sensitive' - and part of you believes it. I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, and questions of identity and belonging. Many people I work with carry experiences that have never been put into words. Therapy offers the space to do exactly that.

Hi, I'm Rachel. I am a psychosexual and relationship therapist. I work with people from all backgrounds and walks of life, although most often I work with clients who fall into the category of gender, sexuality or relationship diverse (GSRD), whether that means someone is kinky, polyamorous, a sex worker, queer (or a combination!). I work with people on a wide variety of issues: I see couples who want to work on improving communication in their relationship; I see individuals who are struggling to identify what they want sexually; I see people who want a space to process their feelings more generally.

You may feel stuck in patterns in your relationships or emotional life that are difficult to change, no matter how hard you try. Perhaps you feel anxious, low, or unsure of your place in the world, especially if you are living away from your country of origin. I work with adults, including many international clients and men, who want to better understand themselves, their relationships, and the roots of their difficulties.

You might be here because you're struggling with sadness, low self-esteem, relationship struggles or difficulty with intimacy. Perhaps you just have a feeling that something isn't right but you don't know what's wrong. I can work with you to create a time and space where we focus on exploring the forces in your life which have led you to where you are today, and which you hope to understand in order to reach somewhere new.

People often feel overwhelmed, anxious, or caught in patterns shaped by early relationships and past experiences. They may intellectualise their emotions, carry trauma, or struggle with identity conflict and self‑criticism. Around this point in their journey is where I come in. I’m Alex, a Psychotherapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clarity, and self‑understanding. The people I work with are seeking emotional connection and a deeper sense of who they are. Their goals often include building confidence, improving relationships and regulating emotions.

Many of the people I work with arrive feeling like they've been struggling for longer than they should have, caught in cycles of intrusive thoughts and anxiety they can't seem to reason their way out of, or in relationships where the same painful patterns keep resurfacing despite their best efforts. I specialise in OCD and couples therapy, and I bring a clear, structured approach to both. For individuals, that means evidence-based treatment which targets the mechanics of obsessive thoughts and behaviours. For couples, it means helping you understand the dynamics that have pulled you apart and building the tools to shift them.

The purpose of Psychotherapy is personal change. By exploring internal and external struggles with a qualified experienced professional, we work together to understand what might be getting in the way of your desired change, what might be creating difficulties and limitations. I am an experienced qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy offering in-depth and short-term therapeutic treatment to adults. I previously worked in the business sector for over 15 years, most recently in the development of psychology based performance solutions within organisations

If you’re living with the impact of trauma or relational difficulties, you deserve a space where you feel safe, supported, and deeply understood without judgement. I specialise in supporting individuals struggling with shame, anxiety, low self-worth, relationship challenges, emotional overwhelm, or feeling disconnected from themselves, others, or God. As a Christian therapist, I offer faith-sensitive counselling for those who want their beliefs thoughtfully integrated into therapy — without pressure, judgement, or assumptions. Your faith does not have to be separated from your healing.

Whether your concern is with communication, sex, power dynamics, money, emotional connection, anxiety, depression, dating, an affair or something unresolved and long past, I offer a safe and supportive environment where couples & individuals can openly discuss their issues and find ways to overcome the difficulties. Couples are enabled to consciously take charge of their relationship - to create it as you want it to be. This may be towards a happier and healthier relationship, or indeed to positively manage separation & the practicalities of divorce.

Welcome to a safe place to talk. There are many reasons why people reach out for help. It may be connected with relationship difficulties, feeling lonely, suffering a bereavement, experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, struggling with depression, trauma, anger, low self-esteem, or work issues. Sometimes there is nothing specific to name. I am a qualified, registered and experienced therapist, holding a degree in psychology and I have been professionally trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy. I am a member of the professional bodies UKCP and FPC.

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist in private practice, and I welcome anyone who feels that psychotherapy may provide the opportunity to consider their life. It is a collaborative process between the person seeking help and myself. It affords the chance to discover in which direction you might want your life to go.

I am a HCPC registered psychotherapist with 10 years experience of working with adults, young people and groups. I work with a psychodynamic, creative approach and offer you a space that is non-judgemental, empathic and safe. Clients come to therapy with me for many and varied reasons: sometimes for support to address a specific mental health problem, such as anxiety or low mood; sometimes because of a dilemma or difficult experience: the end of a relationship, a bereavement, becoming a parent, struggling at work; sometimes for support with relationship or attachment issues.

What therapy types help with codependency problems?
Both couples and family therapy and cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT) can help with the relationship difficulties referred to as codependency. Such problems typically include inappropriate feelings of responsibility for a loved one’s destructive behavior, irrational patterns of thinking about such behavior, and family interaction patterns in which the needs of one troubled member override the needs of others in a household.

What happens in therapy for codependency?
Spouses and family members learn and practice how to interact and support each other in a healthy way without sacrificing their own needs or well-being. They learn the limits of their responsibility for their loved ones and correct faulty patterns of thinking and feeling that underlie codependent behavior. Individuals may be encouraged to nurture an array of social relationships and to cultivate their own talents and interests so that they develop a healthy sense of self outside the family.

How does therapy help a person or couple overcome codependency?
Therapy helps people establish healthy ways of being in a relationship. Spouses and family members learn how to nurture and support one another without sacrificing their own needs or allowing the needs of one person to dominate the dynamic. Individuals learn how to say no and set boundaries, and how to maintain their own identity and self-esteem. Therapy helps people understand that they are not responsible for the feelings and actions of others. It also helps individuals deal with the turbulence that can come from living with a person suffering from such conditions as substance abuse and mental illness.

What is the goal of therapy for codependency?
One goal of therapy for codependency is to alleviate feelings of responsibility for and correct irrational patterns of thinking about loved ones whose behavioral problems override the needs of others in a household. Therapy helps people establish healthy boundaries of behavior and speak up for their own needs in a relationship. In addition, people learn how to maintain a healthy relationship, one in which both parties give and receive equally and are able to retain their own identity.
