Hi there, I'm Will, and whatever brings you here today – welcome, maybe I can help. I'm a BACP registered counsellor based in London Bridge, Crystal Palace and online, offering therapy to individuals and couples. I work in a way that is kind, thoughtful and imaginative. First and foremost, I listen deeply – to the content and the process. Over time, I seek to make connections between patterns in your day-to-day life, to patterns from your past, to patterns in the dynamic between us. The result is a growing space of awareness around these that, grounded in a supportive relationship, fosters clarity, meaning and positive change.

Feeling lost? What if you could journey back to the parts of yourself that have been forgotten? Together, we can explore the lost aspects of your identity that can contribute to who you are today. Embarking on a journey of self-discovery involves peeling away layers of hidden rules, ancestral patterns, and past traumas. In this process, we uncover the "buried gold" within—those precious sparks of your true self that may have been hidden away to fit in or avoid rejection.

I work with people facing a wide range of issues, and I tailor my approach to suit your individual needs. Together, we’ll find a way of working that feels right for you. Alongside my private practice at Number 42, I also work in primary and secondary NHS services, and with South East London Mind. This broad experience allows me to meet a wide variety of emotional and psychological needs with sensitivity and care. My style is relational, reflective, and trauma-informed. I believe we all have the capacity to grow and create change in our lives — sometimes we just need the right conditions to support that process.

You may have spent years appearing to cope whilst struggling with anxiety, low self-worth, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm or relationship difficulties. Perhaps you find yourself repeating the same patterns, struggling to set boundaries, feeling responsible for others, or constantly questioning yourself. These difficulties often have roots in earlier attachment experiences, trauma, or relationships where you did not feel safe, seen or valued. I specialise in helping adults understand and heal the lasting impact of trauma, attachment wounds and difficult life experiences.

I work with couples and individuals who are interested in resolving issues from early life. You might have a clear idea about the problems or trauma you want to work on, or you may feel stuck, anxious, or angry without knowing what is causing you to feel this way. You may be looking for long term therapy to increase your self understanding or have a specific trauma you would like to work on in EMDR therapy. You or your partner might have a sexual issue which is keeping you from a fulfilling sex life together, or you may want to work through conflicts that have arisen in your relationship.

To meet In therapy is to face your fears and vulnerability in a safe and non judgemental space. I love to create an alliance with you as a client to discover and challenge what lies Inside you, aim to have a deep understanding of your world, your hopes and your needs. Often people need to find their own truth and for this we may need to find questions that need answering , uncover pathways that feel blocked and make choices that can unlock you towards freedom and a more loving space for your self and your life.

I specialize in working with couples. Whether you’re navigating conflict, rebuilding trust, or feeling disconnected, counselling offers a space for both of you to explore challenges and create meaningful change together. Relationships are complex, shaped by shared history, individual experiences, and the way we respond to one another. Sometimes, uncovering patterns from the past can lead to powerful breakthroughs in the present. I also work with individuals, helping to address a wide range of issues. The act of naming and exploring a challenge in a safe, non-judgmental space can bring relief and open the door to lasting growth.

I was born and raised in multicultural societies all my life. Living in several different countries on 3 different continents (United Arab Emirates, Canada, Pakistan, Wales and England) has given me unique knowledge about culturally adapting therapy. It has also taught me to understand and work with many different kinds of people. I believe in building a strong therapeutic relationship with the client to create a safe and comfortable space to address and potentially alleviate psychological trauma. I have extensive experience adapting contemporary therapy and counselling and tailoring it to unique cultural nuances.

You might be queer, creative, or sensitive — or all three. You’ve lived outside the lines in some way. Maybe you’ve done the healing work before but find yourself circling the same questions again: Who am I, really? What do I want? Where do I belong? You don’t want quick fixes or shallow advice. You want space to go deeper. To sit with the questions. To feel your way through. I work online and in person in Brighton and London in London Bridge, SE1

art making- when it suits, or when words are hard to find, but you can stick to talking if that suits you better (many clients work this way).
I am a HCPC registered psychotherapist with 10 years experience of working with adults, young people and groups. I work with a psychodynamic, creative approach and offer you a space that is non-judgemental, empathic and safe. Clients come to therapy with me for many and varied reasons: sometimes for support to address a specific mental health problem, such as anxiety or low mood; sometimes because of a dilemma or difficult experience: the end of a relationship, a bereavement, becoming a parent, struggling at work; sometimes for support with relationship or attachment issues.

My psychodynamic training takes into account the connections between the past and the present and in the frame of how we engage, things can become apparent that you may have not been aware of. The nuances of how this promotes change has been expressed by my clients. I also work as a trauma informed counsellor which has enriched my experience as a therapist. I have experience working with self esteem, anxiety, abuse and much more. There may be things from your past that you feel are stopping you from moving forward. In our sessions we can explore what you bring, what your goals are and what it would look like to achieve them.

How does art therapy work?
The process of making art allows people to express themselves. Art-making can take many forms, such as painting, collage, or sculpting. The therapist asks questions that the work elicits, such as how the person felt while creating their piece, or if any memories surfaced that they can discuss. The therapist will then work with the patient to process their experience, understand themselves better, and work toward change.

Does art therapy help with trauma?
Art therapy can be a valuable treatment option for those suffering from trauma. Traumatic experiences such as combat, rape, or childhood abuse can be so painful that articulating them can be too scary or painful; creating art allows people to express themselves without words, and tell their story in a different way. The physical nature of creating art can also help people feel rooted in the body, which may benefit those who feel disconnected from their body in the aftermath of trauma.

How long does art therapy last?
The duration of art therapy varies, but a common length for treatment is 10 to 15 weekly sessions. Some people may see improvement in just a few weeks, while others may choose to remain in therapy longer term. Patients should periodically discuss their goals with their therapist to make sure the two are aligned on process and progress.

What are the limitations of art therapy?
Art therapy is helpful for many people, but a limitation is that it doesn’t have as robust an evidence base as other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioural therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. The evidence on art therapy is mixed; some research demonstrates its benefits, while other research suggests that it has little impact on patients.
