It can feel uncomfortable talking about your sex and relationship difficulties, and while our discussions may present challenges, I will navigate them with guidance, empathy, and sometimes a little humour.
I am a qualified Couples, Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist. I offer couples therapy alongside working with individuals struggling with relationship problems. I trained in the NHS and now work online and in-person in Clapham Junction. Challenges in our sexual and intimate lives can feel hard to talk about. You can be left feeling embarrassed, misunderstood and damaging self-esteem, often causing relationships to suffer as a result. Whether you are an individual or couple grappling with sexual concerns, looking to rediscover intimacy and connection or navigating major life transitions know that you’re not alone.

Together, we will explore your challenges like depression, anxiety, compulsive behaviours, identity, self-esteem, relationship problems, sexuality and figure out why they exist, and thereafter support you as you experiment with trying to do things differently.
I am an integrative psychologist, psychotherapist and sexologist. My training has followed this route because I believe the way we come to understand ourselves develops dynamically during our formative years in relationship with our parents, extended families and the cultures in which families are embedded. In short, we come to know who we are in relation to significant other people. That also means that most of our difficulties and adaptive skills - which often cause us difficulties as adults are formed as we navigate the different demands of these environments. Becoming aware of these challenge the way to improved mental health.

I work with men, women, and couples facing low desire, performance anxiety, ED, vaginismus, sex/porn addiction, and relationship issues like mismatched libido, poor communication, conflict, and betrayal.
As a sexologist, I use a practical and holistic approach that blends intimacy coaching, NLP, hypnotherapy (optional) and mind-body tools to help you overcome emotional and sexual blocks. My sessions are active and engaging — real change comes from doing the work, not just talking about it.

Tony has worked in the NHS and private sector, providing Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy for individuals and couples dealing with issues related to conflict, sexuality, abuse, sexual dysfunction, addiction, trauma, kink and sexual identity.
No one wants to feel like they’re just getting by in their relationship. You might miss how things used to be between you. Maybe you feel distant, even when you're together. Conversations may have become tense, shallow, or purely practical. Arguments might circle back to the same unresolved issues. Or perhaps you’re facing betrayal, sexual difficulties, ongoing conflict, major life changes, or growing differences in values. Whatever you're navigating, we can work together to make sense of it.

Sex Therapy Counsellors

Who is sex therapy for?

Sex problems are common in relationships. Many people want a better sex life and want to feel loved and desired by their partner. It is difficult for couples to resolve sexual problems on their own because people often feel ashamed to talk about their sexual desires fearing they are not normal, when in fact a very broad range of preferences and behaviors are normal. A sex therapist can help clarify this and other matters.

Why do people need sex therapy?

Many people do not know how to talk about their erotic needs or their emotional needs, both of which are addressed in sex therapy. Couples often live with sexual difficulties for years before seeking help, and in that time, partners may experience so much disappointment and alienation that they may fear their problems mean they are incompatible. Once people experience disappointment, it is difficult to find resolution without help.

What happens in sex therapy?

People have many misconceptions about what takes place in sex therapy. First, it is a form of talk therapy in which partners discuss their sexual concerns; it does not involve touching or physical exploration of any kind. Sex therapy typically helps couples get comfortable talking to each other about sex so that, in the privacy of their home life, they can openly discuss their sexual desires and make decisions about what they want to do. Couples are typically assigned activities to do at home that build intimacy skills.

What kinds of problems do sex therapists treat?

Very often, partners differ in their degree of sexual desire and struggle over how often to have sex. Or they may have fights about porn use or have difficulty connecting sexually after one partner is unfaithful. Men may have problems with premature ejaculation. Women may find themselves struggling to become aroused or to achieve an orgasm. Sometimes partners feel like they have lost the sense of attraction to their partner. These are all common issues dealt with in sex therapy.
