My clients often feel overwhelmed by emotions, self-doubt, or relationship patterns they can’t break. They may struggle with anxiety, mood changes, disturbing thoughts, trauma, or neurodiversity-related challenges. Deep down, they want to feel balanced, understood, and connected; to themselves and others. They come to therapy seeking self-awareness, emotional regulation, and a sense of peace, ready to heal and live with greater authenticity and confidence.

I have over ten years’ experience supporting people with a wide range of dilemmas, including: relationship difficulties, neurodivergence, including ADHD and/or autism diagnoses and work dilemmas (in many contexts).
My hope is to create a therapeutic space for us to reflect upon what influences your experiences of the world and I hope to support you through any dilemmas you are experiencing. Time to time we all come across bumps in the road and it is helpful to talk these through. Our connections with others past and present can create both opportunities, but can also create barriers in how we see the world. I hold in mind intersectionality and how our similarities and differences influences our relationships.

I am a neuro-affirmative counsellor, which means I value and respect the many different ways people experience the world, such as those with ADHD.
My approach is integrative. I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques to help manage anxiety and low mood, giving you practical tools to calm unhelpful thoughts and behaviours. Alongside this, I use psychodynamic methods to explore how past experiences may influence the present, helping you to make sense of patterns in your life and relationships.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
