I look to build a strong alliance with all my clients based on empathy and creating a safe space for sharing. This bond allows us to investigate any issues that may present themselves, working side by side to explore how it is to be you.

Everyone's journey to counselling is unique. You may have a sense of being alone, feel hopeless, guilty or overwhelmed, but you might find it hard to pinpoint what in particular brought you here. Alternatively you may know exactly why you are here, but not have a clue what to do about it. I see clients who wish to discuss a range of problems that they are facing currently or have done in the past. Some of these have names that we are familiar with, such as depression, anxiety, stress low self esteem, trauma or abuse. For others there might just be a feeling that they can't articulate but know they need to address.

I work with people who are in some way feeling inner distress. Perhaps they've faced something painful or traumatising in the past and the emotional residue of it remains inside. Perhaps they have experienced loss, or are facing grief - for a loved one, for a time, even for themselves (that feeling of who you really are in your own life). They might be struggling with a situation that feels difficult, even overwhelming, (anything from a relationship or a work problem, to an inner understanding of their own sexual or gender identity). They might wake each day to a feeling of anxiety or dread, drained of energy and facing depression.

This has given me a trusted insight into navigating the demands of work, family and social connections.
A very warm welcome! I understand that life can be challenging, and that it is both important and brave in these moments to reach out for support. After all, "we heal in community, not in isolation" (Esther Perel). Competing life challenges can cause us to suffer. We might valiantly try to ignore, mask or project uncomfortable emotions. We may find ourselves choosing between unhealthy coping mechanisms, or opting out completely. I have come to realise that the symptoms of our suffering are often the body’s way of guiding us towards a healthier balanced life. I hope to support you as you uncover your inner wisdom.

Art Therapy is suitable for all ages and every stage of life, including people whose lives have been affected by difficult life experiences, systemic inequality and oppression, neurodiversity, illness and/or disability. Being skilled in art or in a craft is not necessary to benefit. Instead, there is a need to be open to the possibilities of the process involved. Like with any therapy, the process can be challenging as uncomfortable feelings and painful memories may emerge. At the heart of the space that we would share is a robust and meaningful relationship which is reliable, affirmative and reflective.

With over a decade of experience, I help people navigate anxiety, depression, panic, isolation, and complex family dynamics — all at a pace that feels right for you.
Profound change often comes through the secure, trusting connection we build together. In this space, we can explore with curiosity how and why certain patterns of thought and emotion have formed, often tracing their roots to past experiences.

My training has followed this route because I believe the way we come to understand ourselves develops dynamically during our formative years in relationship with our parents, extended families and the cultures in which families are embedded.
My approach is one of collaboration. Together, we will explore your challenges like depression, anxiety, compulsive behaviours, identity, self-esteem, relationship problems, sexuality and figure out why they exist, and thereafter support you as you experiment with trying to do things differently.

I work as an integrative psychotherapist and will tailor our sessions to your needs. I believe that we are all capable of transforming our lives. Profound and fundamental change occurs with the realisation that the most important relationship we will ever have is the relationship with ourselves.

I believe that the 3 most common reasons leading people to seek therapy are Anger, Sadness & Belief System. This belief system could be one you were taught by somebody else or one you have created that is not serving you, for example feeling that you are not enough or that you are unloveable. I offer safety and support with the unbearable. I provide guidance in your discovery and unpacking of baggage. I use creative methods: art, body work, play therapy and nature.

I am a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist who works in the London Victoria area. My training underlines my belief that sometimes our experiences can leave us feeling insecure or lacking in confidence, making it difficult to form or sustain healthy relationships or cope with everyday life. Talking this through with a psychotherapist can help you to understand and value yourself more. It is not the job of a psychotherapist to tell you what to do but to offer you different perspectives and a different experience of relating.

With couples, I might look at attachment issues, family systems, imago, developmental approaches and explore blocks to intimacy.
There are many reasons why you might be seeking counselling. Your issues might have been triggered by recent events or could stretch far back to past abuse or narcissistic control. There might be anxiety, low self-esteem, feelings of isolation, exclusion, deep loneliness, overwhelm or numbness. I can help with these issues. I have also had specialist training in trauma (PTSD & dissociation) and can offer emotional freedom technique for regulation and processing. I also work with the specific challenges that come with dyslexia, autism (ASD) and ADHD.

You might want to talk to someone about how you’re feeling but don’t want to burden friends or family, and may feel nervous or apprehensive, or embarrassed about seeking help from a counsellor or therapist.
I’ll provide you with a safe and supportive space to explore and understand what’s making you unhappy, so that together we can help you find your way back to peace and wellbeing. I believe in the value of incorporating mindfulness and compassion to help you find freedom from suffering and develop a kinder and more nurturing relationship with yourself.

I work with dreams, which I think of as your own inner guide; EMDR for trauma where appropriate, visualisations, creative imagination, and internal family systems.
Hello! I am a qualified and accredited psychotherapist, working from a lovely studio in Wimbledon Village. I work with clients facing a range of difficult issues in their lives. This can be long or short-term work. I accompany my clients along their the journey of deeper self-knowledge, understanding how adverse childhood circumstances left their mark. I help people to discover lost parts of themselves, so they can show up more fully in the world. This involves finding new qualities, taking back projections, reconciling opposites in the psyche and finding balance.

Family Therapy Counsellors

What do family therapists do?

A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.

How long does therapy for families take to work?

Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.

How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?

You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.

Is therapy for families effective?

Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
