You may be feeling unheard, disconnected, or anxious in your relationship. wondering how things got here and unsure how to move forward. Maybe there’s been a breakdown of trust, a repeating pattern, or emotional distance that’s hard to bridge. Whether you’re an individual or a couple, you’re longing for clarity, connection, and a calmer space to explore your relationship. If that sounds like you, I can help.

My systemic training as well as Terry Neal, Ester Perel and Dr Sue Johnson's Emotionally Focused Therapy informs my practice when working with couples, including co-parenting post- divorce.
I have worked in the NHS for 25 years, across a variety of settings and am currently undertaking an MA in Family Therapy. Neuro-biology and Somatic psychology are also areas that inform my practice. This includes helping individuals to understand choices around mental health medication, how the body and mind are 'one' and are both informed by the 'fight or flight' response, attachment styles and survival strategies. I use NVR (Non-Violent Resolution) to support families and young people with challenging behaviours.

I support people navigating dating, long-term partnerships, breakups, divorce, and complex family dynamics.
Together we’ll slow down, make sense of your patterns, and help you rebuild trust in your own instincts. Over time, clients often discover greater clarity, steadiness, and confidence in who they are and what they need — so relationships can become more mutual, reliable, and emotionally fulfilling.

Many of the couples and partners I work with feel like they’ve lost their way together. Arguments may repeat in familiar cycles, or silence has replaced communication. Some arrive in crisis — after betrayal or distance has grown — while others simply want to feel closer again but aren’t sure how. My clients often describe feeling unheard, unseen, or caught in patterns they can’t shift, no matter how hard they try. Beneath the surface conflict, there’s usually a longing to reconnect, to understand each other better, and to feel emotionally safe again. Some couples hope to rebuild and move forward together; others are unsure whether

There are many reasons why people seek time and space to talk and reflect. You might want to talk about thoughts and feelings that are difficult to discuss with others, or consider what has happened to bring you to this point in your life. This can be a space for exploration and discovery, a protected hour in which you will be listened to. My focus is on listening openly, without judgment, to whatever you bring. I will listen to your experiences and your point of view and together we can look at different perspectives which can help you to live more freely.

I specialise in domestic abuse, child-to-parent violence (CAPVA), and relationship breakdown, including divorce, separation, family court, or workplace stress.
Life can feel overwhelming at times—whether from anxiety, grief, relationship struggles, cultural pressures, or simply feeling “stuck.” Counselling offers a confidential, non-judgemental space to slow down, reflect, and begin making sense of things. Like the Japanese art of kintsugi—where broken pottery is repaired with gold—therapy can help us see that our cracks are part of our story. Healing doesn’t mean erasing what has happened, but instead finding new strength and meaning in the patterns we may have carried for too long. With support, those places of pain can become places of resilience, authenticity, and growth.

I help children, teens and adults feel more settled, confident and connected. With young people, I use creative and relational approaches to build emotional awareness and resilience. For adults, especially teachers and caregivers, I offer space to manage stress, burnout and identity shifts. My approach is calm, compassionate and focused on helping you (or your child) feel heard and supported. My clients are often capable people who feel overwhelmed or disconnected. For children and teens, it’s anxiety, school stress or confidence struggles. For adults, it’s burnout, boundaries and finding balance again.

Even if everything seems fine from the outside, do you sometimes feel restless, anxious, or exhausted? Sleepless nights, overwhelming emotions, sudden anger, or feeling stuck in unhealthy cycles are often reflections of past experiences showing up in the present. Many of the clients I work with don’t always call what they’ve been through “trauma,” yet they describe feeling its effects every single day. Have you ever stopped at some point in your life and asked yourself, “Do I have to keep going like this?”

Hello, I’m Siobhan. Life and relationships often feel overwhelming and hectic, leaving us with emotions and feelings which seem impossible to unpick; you don’t have to face them alone. Perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed with anxiety, depression or stress. Maybe you are experiencing the pain and shame of addiction and have no-one else to turn to for help. Friends and family can be well-meaning but often they don't understand or simply want to offer advice which doesn't feel right.... It might be that you don't even know why you feel stuck and unable to move forward; we can work through this together.

Sometimes it’s difficult to admit we are struggling, show our vulnerability and ask for help. But when we get ‘stuck’ and can’t see a way out, it can be helpful to have someone impartial and non-judgemental to talk things through with, to help us make sense of the challenges we are facing in life. Life is an inevitably difficult process to manage as it is always dynamic and changing. As human beings and social creatures, we navigate multiple relationships, search for meaning and purpose in our lives, balance responsibility with choice and freedom, and endure physical and emotional pain, loss and loneliness.

By providing a safe space where you can learn to listen to yourself and be heard without judgment, I aim to help you understand how your past experiences might be shaping how you live, work, and relate to others in the present, allowing you more freedom to make positive changes in your life.

Divorce Counsellors

How does therapy for people affected by a divorce work?

Individuals may feel a number of emotions following a divorce, such as shock, guilt, grief, anger, and fear. Therapists offer a non-judgmental space for individuals to talk about what they’ve experienced and process their emotions. Therapists will help clients develop coping strategies. They can also help a client rebuild their sense of self and self-worth and talk about what a happier future might look like.

What’s the most common type of therapy following a divorce?

There are several types of therapy that may be useful for divorce, including cognitive behavioural, acceptance and commitment, solution-focused brief, and mindfulness-based therapies. Many therapy types are talk-therapy based, which is typically the most popular option for individuals dealing with divorce. Cognitive behavioural therapy is a widely-used talk therapy, however, there’s no specific therapy type that’s designed to help people with divorce, and different types will work depending on the person.

When should an individual seek help due to a divorce?

When the feelings of a divorced individual, or an individual going through the process of divorce, begin to disrupt healthy daily functioning, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not performing at work due to problems with anxiety or motivation, if they’re no longer seeing friends due to feelings of shame, or if they’re not properly taking care of themselves as a result of depression, speaking to a professional could help.

How do you encourage someone to go to therapy due to a divorce?

It’s helpful to express concern and love for the individual while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Sharing how the individual appears to be suffering, and what effects it has on them or on their children, should be done with compassion and empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
