Clients often come to therapy struggling with overwhelming emotions—whether related to loved ones or life events. Relying on coping strategies or defenses can create a sense of rigidity, leaving you feeling stuck and disconnected from what matters most. Emotions are our GPS and also the glue that bonds us with one another, thus their importance to navigate through life.

SERVICES I PROVIDE: Like all forms of therapy, integrative therapy requires that you are open to exploring your fears, your hopes, your life, what is causing you challenges, and what you hope for your future. But if you like the idea of a therapy which is a bit more bespoke and less rigid than other forms, then integrative therapy might indeed be for you. Would you like to try this type of therapy?

Does life feel like its getting on top of you? Could you benefit from a place to take some time-out? At certain times we all experience difficulties and doubt, go through life transitions (career change, divorce, new relationship, mid-life crisis) or discover patterns in our lives that are un-supportive. Seeing a counsellor or psychotherapist can help you face these challenges and turn them into an opportunity for personal growth.

I have experience of helping those who have faced depression, anxiety, low self-worth; identity issues, drug addiction and anger problems understand how they can be connected to thoughts and feelings that developed in early life.
I am aware that discovering these connections can be overwhelming and recognise the importance of working at your pace to support healthy, lasting and positive outcomes. I am also respectful of individual differences and adapt my approach to suit you; ensuring that you are comfortable and your needs are met.

I was born and raised in multicultural societies all my life. Living in several different countries on 3 different continents (United Arab Emirates, Canada, Pakistan, Wales and England) has given me unique knowledge about culturally adapting therapy. It has also taught me to understand and work with many different kinds of people. I believe in building a strong therapeutic relationship with the client to create a safe and comfortable space to address and potentially alleviate psychological trauma. I have extensive experience adapting contemporary therapy and counselling and tailoring it to unique cultural nuances.

I have special interests in Relationship issues, Addiction, Anger and Mixed-race Mental Health, which means I'm particularly attuned to the unique challenges and experiences in these areas.
In a session together, we will be working through things together, side by side, at your own pace. There’s no rush, no dismissal—just a space for you to better understand yourself and take the steps toward healing, on your own terms. Every person’s journey is unique, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you rediscover your path to personal growth. In our sessions, strength is about allowing yourself to be vulnerable; your voice is valued, and your story will be met with warmth and compassion. I work with clients across the UK and offer sessions via video, telephone or in-person.

I offer a no-obligation assessment initially, which is opportunity for us to discuss your situation and determine better if therapy with me could meet your needs; only if you are happy to do we then proceed to an ongoing therapy, be it on a short or long term basis. I incorporate psychodynamic, existential, cognitive behavioural and person centred approaches to offer a therapy suited to your unique needs. Whilst we all know something of suffering anxiety, depression, bereavement, or other issues, your particular experience is entirely your own. I believe in a therapy that accomodates your individuality.

Anger Management Counsellors

How long does therapy take for anger management?

Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?

Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?

Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
