I often work with issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, shame, intrusive thoughts, OCD, attachment and identity issues, addiction and more.
I’m a down-to-earth, open-minded and warm person. Originally from Scotland, I lived in multiple countries before settling in London. My personal journey with psychodynamic therapy has been transformative in many ways—it’s why I became a psychotherapist.

I specialise in trauma, PTSD, anxiety disorders (including OCD, health anxiety, and social anxiety), and depression.
You may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, low mood, or the emotional weight of past experiences. Perhaps you find yourself caught in patterns of self-criticism, shame, or fear, unsure how to move forward yet knowing you want something to change. Maybe you’ve been carrying these struggles alone for a long time and are now seeking support that feels safe, understanding, grounded, and informed. You may want to feel more in control of your direction, build a kinder relationship with yourself, and reconnect with your confidence, values, goals, and the people who matter most to you.

Hello and welcome to my page. If you have been looking for a therapist for a few days or weeks now, you have probably read many introductions and I know it can be hard to have a sense of what someone is really like and how it will be to work with them. I’ve tried to give a sense of my training and approach here but please don’t be afraid to email me with any questions or book an introductory call to get to know me better if you think that would help you in making a decision.

Hello, we are the Integrative Centre for OCD Therapy.
We are integrative at our core. Which means we often integrate two or more therapies to meet the needs of the individual. Each of our therapists come with a wealth of training in different therapies, however the foundation of what we do is exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

Anxiety is a natural part of life, but when it becomes overwhelming, it can stop you from doing what matters most—perhaps spending time with loved ones, trying new experiences, or simply feeling at ease. In an effort to cope, it's easy to fall into patterns that make anxiety worse, leaving you feeling stuck or isolated. You might build walls to protect yourself from disappointing others or feeling embarrassed, but those same walls can push people away, leaving you more disconnected. My approach is centered on creating a compassionate, safe space where we can explore the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are holding you back.

I specialise in treatment for OCD.
Unhelpful thoughts and uncomfortable feelings are part of being human. Sometimes however, we can get stuck in a painful vicious cycle by reacting in unhelpful ways. This doesn’t mean we’re broken. If you’d like to learn new ways of responding to these thoughts and feelings then maybe I can help. I have a lot of experience assessing and treating a wide range of problems using CBT. I use a range of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and mindfulness tools to enhance and compliment traditional CBT. I find this approach extremely effective in helping people to recognise and break unhelpful patterns, overcome problems and prevent relapse.

I work with clients who are experiencing any of the anxiety disorders; Generalised Anxiety Disorder (ie, worrying a lot of the time about different things), OCD, Panic Attacks, PTSD, Body Dismorphic Disorder and Health Anxiety.
I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, person-centered therapy, EMDR and psychodynamic thinking in my work. CBT is very helpful for many of the low mood and anxiety disorders. However, sometimes clients need more space to explore underlying issues to make connections with how they are feeling and behaving. I offer EMDR for trauma based work.

With a specialist interest in working with young people and their families, I have enjoyed particular successes in helping teenagers and young adults manage both mild and complex social anxiety; generalised anxiety; phobias; and OCD.
Perhaps you’re a teenager or young adult, who experiences physical symptoms of anxiety (such as stomach aches or racing heart), which make you want to avoid certain situations. Or maybe you’re a parent or guardian, eager to get the best support for a loved one who struggles with anxious thoughts or behaviours. Rest assured, you’ve come to the right place. I care. My interest in providing timely treatment for difficulties such as these is the reason why I founded Flourishing Futures Psychology. I too was prone to getting tangled up with anxiety when I was younger, so I know how it can try to trip you up.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Counsellors

How long does OCD treatment take?

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?

Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?

Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine, fluoxetine, and sertraline, among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?

Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
