Most importantly I value the therapeutic relationship as central to building trust and helping clients to reach their goals.
I am aware of the difficulty in making the decision to seek counselling and how overwhelming the process of finding the right counsellor can be. It can be a lonely journey when you are feeling overwhelmed, Counselling provides clients with the opportunity of having someone to explore and help to make sense of their emotions and thoughts. When we struggle with low self concept and shame, we may become stuck due to fear of being exposed (vulnerability). If this is not explored and understood its roots then it could manifest into other emotional issues such as anxiety and depression. Therapy can teach you helpful/healthy coping tools.

This can happen several years after the incident but, what if I told you there is a way to come to terms with your past and thrive in the present? Healing Hands Counselling is a psychotherapy service that specialises in this area.

As a psychotherapeutic counsellor I do not believe in ‘One size fits all’. because everyone experience and responded to psychological issues in different ways. I have over ten years' experience helping people cope with and eventually overcome their mental health problems. Rather than struggle through difficult times on your own, don’t hesitate to call me. I am here to listen without being judgemental; I provide the place, space, and pace for you to feel safe in a therapeutic environment (phone session/ online group work) . Relationship will be build on respect, openness and trust with a robust adherence to confidentiality

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor. I have experience working with clients on a range of issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, loss & self-esteem. My integrative training emphasises the importance of the relationship between client & counsellor. The client is given the opportunity to lead the way, I will actively listen and respond to what the client brings, aiming to provide an environment which feels safe, empathic and open-minded. I will however, at times, be challenging in a constructive way, allowing for potential therapeutic change, discovery & shifting within the client.

I am Relate trained specialising in Relationship and Sex Therapy. In order to keep our relationships healthy we need to attend to them to ensure they remain respectful, trusting, sexual and happy. Because of the busyness of day to day life, we can easily disconnect from our partners without realising it leading to a lack of communication, conflict, affairs, and dissatisfaction. When married, or when children are involved, these problems become even more complex. It might even be that since the country's lockdown, you are now realising there are issues in your relationship . Now could be a good time to resolve these.

Existential psychotherapy is a relational approach, examining in detail our relationship with ourselves, others, and the world around us.
I'm a qualified psychotherapist who works with teenagers and adults, offering both short-term and long-term therapy options. I provide therapy both online and from my office in Blackheath. My approach is primarily Existential. The starting point of existential therapy is the experience of the client; this means that I focus on your unique experience of yourself and the world, and your meaning-making processes. Existential analysis is concerned with how we choose to approach the problems, dilemmas and that we encounter. It helps us become aware of and change patterns in our lives and thinking that have become obstructive.

Couples Counselling

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
