I provide specialised support for a range of emotional difficulties including: Anxiety, depression and low self-esteem; Suicidal ideation, anger management, and self-harm.
I am an Integrative therapist, meaning I don’t believe in a "one size fits all" model. I use a client centered perspective to blend traditional psychotherapy with practical tools like DBT, CBT and TF-CBT to create a unique plan.

Many of my clients are young professionals experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, low mood, depression or relationship difficulties.
My approach is psychodynamic, meaning we explore current difficulties alongside earlier experiences and relationships that may be shaping how you feel today. By making links between past and present, we can begin to recognise patterns that feel limiting and work towards meaningful, lasting change.

I focus on using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), as research indicates that CBT can help many difficulties such as: anxiety-based problems ( panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, social anxiety, health anxiety, phobias), depression and low mood, eating disorders, sleep difficulties, low self esteem, problematic perfectionism, and anger.
CBT looks at the impact of our thoughts and behaviours on our emotional state. We can get trapped in unhelpful patterns in our thought processes and things we do, which cause distress and get in the way of us leading our life. CBT aims identify and change these unhelpful cycles. EMDR can help people to move on from distress related to traumatic events.

Dr Theresa Mary Taylor
Psychologist, HCPC - Clin. Psych.
Shoreditch, London EC2A
I specialise in supporting those in high stress careers and work with trauma, stress, burnout, grief, anxiety and depression.
Hello, I’m Theresa, an HCPC registered clinical psychologist. Many of my clients have managed well for years before finding themselves feeling overwhelmed; others have been struggling for a long time and are ready for something different. Sometimes the solutions we well-meaningly reach for keep us stuck, and we need a safe space to think and feel, and an external person alongside to help us light the path forward. I believe in being both professional and human and genuine, there’s space for both tears and laughter in my therapy rooms.

I support people with relationship difficulties, identity and belonging, anxiety, low mood, burnout, addiction and shame.
I shape the work around you. We slow things down and make sense of what’s been happening in your life. Together, we explore how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours connect, how patterns formed, and how you have coped, even when those ways of coping no longer serve you. Together, we can begin to notice what still fits and what no longer does.

A major life transition, like moving to a new country, is a huge source of anxiety.
Does it feel like you're working twice as hard just to feel settled in London? Navigating a new country with an ADHD brain (diagnosed or self-diagnosed) can be isolating and lead to complete burnout. My clients want to move from surviving to thriving. I help them get there by blending practical ADHD coaching with deep therapeutic support, all within a space that understands the unique challenges of a major life transition. As a Psychologist & ADHD Coach with 10 years' experience supporting international professionals, my goal is to help you feel grounded, capable, and finally at home.

You might be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply lost. Perhaps you’re holding onto something from the past that feels impossible to let go, or you find yourself stuck in a career or a relationship role that no longer fits who you are. These repeating thoughts and behaviors can leave you feeling trapped—unable to move forward or find the peace and joy. I draw on my background in the NHS and Mind, alongside a lived understanding of the high-pressure worlds of Tech, Banking, and Advertising. If you are feeling overwhelmed or 'stuck,' I provide a confidential space where these specific challenges are deeply understood.

Frequent topics in my work include anxiety, depression, burnout, perfectionism, relationships, self-esteem, identity, bereavement & LGBTQ+ issues.
Hello, I'm Cora. I offer practical, down-to-earth therapy that gets modern life. It's hard to write about therapy without it sounding…well, like therapy-speak. So, I’ll do my best to avoid the cliches, and try to give you something more concrete. I've been working with Millennials and Gen. Z since 2018 - which in real terms means my private practice is older than Lana Del Rey's Norman Rockwell album. Throughout these years, I've been alongside you in the trenches, helping people find solid ground when life feels anything but. And, as the Lana reference may have hinted, I have particular experience of working with queer stories.

I work with various difficulties including anxiety, depression, self-esteem and relationship issues.
I am a qualified and experienced Psychotherapist working with individuals and couples. I offer a warm, supportive space to explore and work through whatever is on your mind, compassionately and with self-respect. Some emotional states can be difficult. And yet I believe that, if explored in a non-judgmental and caring way, they can release important learning about ourselves. They may point to entrenched ways of being that no longer serve us or beliefs that burden us in some way. Emotional pain can sometimes be a messenger that comes to highlight needs we have neglected or forgotten parts of our self.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioural therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
