For couples, it could be broken trust, poor communication, or chronic arguing that brings you here.
If you are caught in a crisis counselling can be a lifeline. In order to move forward we will explore your current world and discover how your past may be influencing your present. Primarily we will engage in ‘talk therapy’. I might suggest a range of tools you can practice at home if that is helpful.

Hi, thanks for stopping on my profile. It can be tricky to know which therapist to contact. The best therapist is the one who you feel most comfortable talking to. This is your life, your journey. Whatever it is that made you open this website, hurts. Talk to someone who empathises and can help you to improve how you feel about yourself.

Art Psychotherapy can be less confronting and yet deeper reaching than purely verbal modalities of therapy. I work in partnership with you in the process of dissecting the symbolic layers of your art work, bringing to light personal meanings and creating new pathways through problems.

Cultural Issues, Depression, Grief, Identity Problems, Immigration, Infertility, Relationships, Transitions, Stress, Trauma.
My initial interest in Existential therapy was informed by my personal and professional experiences. Throughout the years I have explored diverse ways of supporting my clients, looking to improve their emotional and spiritual balance. Existential therapy encapsulates all my core beliefs about the therapeutic process and the powerful therapeutic connection between psychology and philosophy. It is anchored in the lived experiences (not their theoretical representation) and their relational context. It relates to human existence and predicaments, our choices and responsibilities, meaning and purpose, freedom and limitations.

Maybe it's the loneliness no one warned you about, or the relationship strain you didn't see coming, or the anxiety that seems louder here than it ever was back home.
My approach is warm, direct, and goes deeper than coping strategies alone.
I work somatically and relationally — which means we pay attention to what your body is holding, not just what your mind can articulate. For clients with trauma or deeply rooted patterns, I use EMDR, parts/somatic-work, to reach what talk therapy often can't.

FAQ - About Couples Therapy
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.
When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.
How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.
How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
