I offer neurodiversity-affirming therapy and have extensive experience working with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and adults who are newly or late diagnosed.
There are many different reasons people come to therapy. It may be that life seems overwhelming, you might feel low, anxious, or stressed and just want someone to help. You may feel like you keep repeating the same old patterns and it seems impossible to break the cycle. Relationships with partners, friends and children can be tough and you can feel like you just can’t cope at times. You may have lost somebody close to you. Or it may be a curiosity or an urge to make life better, happier and more fulfilling. Whatever the reason, I do believe that talking to a therapist can truly change lives for the better.

I work with clients who are struggling with a mix of trauma, late diagnosis ADHD and finding their identity.
Are you done with wondering why you're different? Are you exploring neurodiversity and noticing that pieces of the puzzle are falling together? Are you looking to make sense of your self, and understand yourself better so that you can be the best, most authentic version of yourself? I see you. Do you want to be better able to communicate your needs, to make life easier for yourself and those around you? Adults who suspect or are diagnosed as neurodiverse go through a transition process, of shedding who we thought we were and truly accepting who we are. I can help you with that.

I bring a background as an artist and lived experience of neurodivergence ADHD into the room
If you've ever felt like you think and feel at a slightly different frequency to most people around you, like too much, too sensitive, too in your head this might be the right place. I work with people who are creative, curious, and often psychologically self-aware. People who feel things deeply. Who've probably already read a lot, thought a lot, and still find themselves stuck in patterns they can't quite shift from the outside. People drawn to understanding themselves - not just managing symptoms, but making genuine sense of who they are and why.

Many adults I work with experience this alongside ADHD and difficulties with executive functioning, including focus, planning, time management, and emotional regulation.
I understand ADHD from both personal and professional experience and I work with it in a practical grounded way. I use CBT, breathwork, and grounding techniques to help you work with your thoughts, emotions, and body together with your thinking mind. This helps you notice patterns in real time, reduce overwhelm, and step out of overthinking.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
