I have a long career working with those struggling to make sense of their difficulties. The decision to start therapy can be challenging, I therefore provide a space where your experiences can be explored in a compassionate, confidential and collaborative way. At a time when it seems hard to make sense of things in your life that are causing you distress this can be difficult and life can feel unfulfilling.

When life’s road feels bumpier and then bumpier again therapy can shine a light on the causes and the best way forward. I will provide a safe, warm confidential environment, where we will identify, explore and work through what’s troubling you. Through our relationship and by working together we will discover and develop new ways of approaching life that will serve you better-ways which are less compromised by the past.

Starting therapy can sometimes be a daunting experience. Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other. You can consider whether I am the right fit for you, and we can explore your goals and motivations for therapy, creating a collaborative plan for potentially working together. With lots of space for any questions you may have! I hold a strong desire to create space for individuals to share their voices, to feel seen and to be heard. Alongside my professional knowledge, I hope to draw from my personal journey to inspire warmth, authenticity, and connection within the therapeutic relationship we build.

Adverse life events are always at the root of suffering. This is why my work is Trauma Focused. Remembering painful events can cause a great deal of distress, dissociation, and in my opinion, it is not always the right approach. This is why I prefer focusing on Reconciling with symptoms as opposed to Remembering the past. My approach is an Integrative, Embodied, and Radically Relational Psychotherapy that promotes safety and trust within the self by using resources. This enable the roots of distress to reconcile with the present and symptoms to be released.

I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, member of The Guild of Psychotherapists and fully accredited by UKCP. I abide by the Ethical Codes of Practice of both the Guild and of UKCP. I offer a safe and confidential address. An invested relationship based on trust without judgment. My job is to listen, understand and remember, and to help you make connections you may not otherwise make. At your own pace, the work is a gradual unveiling of what is suffered or repressed. A cleansing to the bone in the service of change. The analysis of dreams and other unconscious phenomena are important elements of this work.

WHY ME....? Most profiles correctly tell you they will provide a safe place to work through things that are on your mind. What I also bring is a unique mix of outlook, training and experience drawn from different theories and techniques that will be tailored to meet your individual needs. You are in charge of goals and subject matter (as you are the expert on you!) and I am a curious professional bystander to help you notice, understand & manage what's going on. I encourage awareness and expression of the difficult stuff that might not often come up. I listen but I also ask a lot of questions.

You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in repeating patterns, or unsure why the same difficulties keep resurfacing despite your best efforts. When something feels persistently difficult — whether that’s anxiety, low mood, trauma or relationship strain — it can be hard to know where to begin. I work with children, young people, adults and families to make sense of what may be happening beneath the surface — not just to ease symptoms, but to deepen understanding and support meaningful, lasting change. I have extensive experience supporting those affected by marginalisation, discrimination, exclusion and identity-related challenges.
