My approach is integrative, rooted in person-centred, psychodynamic, and transpersonal perspectives, allowing us to work in a way that feels attuned to you.
Do you ever feel anxious, numb, or like you’re carrying a weight you can’t quite name? Many of the people I work with describe feeling stuck, distant from themselves, or quietly believing they’re not good enough, a feeling that echoes through their relationships, work, and inner world. Sometimes they’re navigating grief, loss, or a painful ending, or carrying early experiences of neglect or disconnection that have left them feeling emotionally overwhelmed.

Everyone faces difficulties in life. It might be that something specific has happened. Maybe challenges have built up and feel too much to handle. Or perhaps it’s possible just to get a bit lost somewhere along the line. Sometimes we need some extra support to process and soothe specific pain, or to take some time to get to know ourselves on a deeper level.

I work integratively and welcome you as you are in mind, body and spirit. It can be helpful to have a non-judgmental and confidential space to explore what is happening in your life with someone who is not a part of your friend or family group. This is especially true in times of crisis or inner conflict, as well as the times when we feel isolated or unable to manage change. I believe that when we encounter difficulties in life, time and attention are sources for healing, integration and growth. It is this deeper listening and facilitation that is at the heart of the therapeutic relationship.

Finding Clarity and Healing Through Connection.
We all seek to feel heard, understood, and validated. Yet, many of us struggle to make sense of recurring patterns or behaviors that feel harmful or unfulfilling. Psychotherapy offers a supportive space for exploring these challenges, fostering greater self-awareness, and empowering you to recognize and articulate your emotional needs.
Together, we can work towards a deeper understanding of yourself and begin the journey toward healing and growth.

Through a dedication to the psychoanalytic process, I am able to help my patients to process painful feelings. gain insight and to begin to build a richer, more integrated sense of self. By exploring past experience, and current thoughts and feelings my aim is to bring into consciousness, old patterns of relating, behaving, and perceiving, that lead to a psychological conflict. Psychological conflict can manifest as depression, anxiety or fears about oneself, or in some cases more extreme forms of psychological disturbance,

I welcome adults from all walks of life; supporting them to find appropriate ways to manage anxiety, fears and emotions, repair or heal ruptures in relationships, or discover, how the origins of their depression, anger, lack of motivation, poor-health, may lie in their childhood-experience or emotionally absent parent.
Clients who experience healthy attachment, positive feelings and emotions (many for the first time) find the experience deeply transformative. They are able to make conscious choices and decisions that are aligned with their true nature.

Is psychodynamic therapy evidence-based?
Studies have found psychodynamic therapy to be effective in treating conditions like social anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, some personality disorders, and depression; indeed, some studies have found it to be just as effective as CBT or medication. What’s more, several studies have found that the benefits of psychodynamic therapy tend to endure—even grow—long after treatment has ended.
How long does psychodynamic therapy last?
Unlike CBT and other more structured forms of therapy, psychodynamic therapy tends to be open-ended and may not be limited to a set number of sessions. It is common for clients to be in therapy for a year or longer and to see their therapist one to three times a week, though the exact schedule and timeline may vary depending on a client’s challenges and progress. However, brief psychodynamic therapy is available, which tends to be more goal-oriented and typically unfolds over 16 to 30 sessions.
Does psychodynamic therapy work?
Research finds that psychodynamic therapy can help someone manage or reduce symptoms of diagnosable mental health conditions like depression or anxiety. The modality may also offer a range of benefits that are harder to measure but just as valuable—such as increased self-worth or healthier relationships. While no therapy type will work for everyone, research and anecdotal evidence suggest that psychodynamic therapy can be highly effective.
What are the limitations of psychodynamic therapy?
Some meta-analyses have concluded that there is little evidence to suggest that psychodynamic therapy can effectively treat certain mental health conditions such as PTSD, OCD, or psychosis, though it is sometimes used to do so. More broadly, the open-ended, free-association structure of psychodynamic therapy may be frustrating for clients who prefer a more structured, time-limited, or goal-oriented approach.
