You may be feeling stress and anxiety related to everyday challenges at work or with relationships, or there may be deeper trauma that you want to work through. Loss, bereavement, discrimination and emotional neglect are common experiences which have the potential to impact us in the present even when the events occurred a long time ago. Sometimes the work can be about exploring more abstract aspects of life such as meaning and identity (particularly after late-identification as autistic or ADHD) or searching for a sense of connection to self, others and the wider world.

As a CBT therapist I work with clients who suffer with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, bereavement, emotional eating and more. CBT is a talk based therapy that uses techniques to help clients trapped in negative thought patterns, emotions and behaviours move to positive ones to improve the quality of day to day life. Through this work clients to better understand their thought process, navigate their emotions and emotional behaviours differently.
As a couples therapist we work through the three pillars of communication, similarities and behaviours to reconnect, rebalance and renew relationships.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. If you’re struggling with anxiety, feeling sad or numb, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, or a sense of being stuck, it can be hard to know where to begin. You may not yet have the words for what you're feeling, and that’s okay. I offer a warm, collaborative space where you can feel safe, heard, and supported as we explore what’s going on for you. I bring over 20 years of experience in coaching, mentoring, and therapeutic practice. I work in an integrative and relational way, drawing from different therapeutic approaches depending on your needs.

No-one knows your world as well as you do. However, sometimes, that world can be difficult to understand. Perhaps your world changed recently and you’re struggling to make sense of things now. Maybe you feel low or anxious and aren’t sure why. Talking things through with someone can help.

Sometimes life can feel like a losing battle. If you are looking for help I offer a safe, completely confidential environment, where we can think and talk together. I work psychodynamically, an approach underpinned by the idea that our present day feelings are powerfully influenced by our past experiences. When we remain conflicted in the present about events that happened in the past, we often find ourselves troubled in everyday life. These are the feelings that lead people to look for help to understand and resolve these issues.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you’re navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, or the challenges and strengths that come with neurodiversity such as ADHD or autism. Even finding the right counsellor can feel like another burden.
I work with both individuals and couples, offering a safe, non-judgemental space to explore whatever is on your mind. For some people, that means ongoing therapy. For others, it’s a single, focused session to talk something through without committing to a longer process. If you’re unsure whether counselling is right for you, I’m happy to talk it through first.

I am a Person Centred Therapist registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have extensive experience working with under-represented communities and helping people understanding their behaviours. My counselling journey started a decade ago, not as a qualified counsellor, but as a client. By offering a judgment free space and the opportunity to be vulnerable, my therapist supported me on my journey of self-acceptance. It is on that connection between counsellor and client that I base my work. In my humanistic approach to therapy I believe that my clients are the experts of themselves.

Many people I work with come to therapy feeling stuck, anxious, angry, or emotionally disconnected. What is wrong is not always clear — just a sense that something isn’t working. Often, there’s a wish to understand oneself more fully. My practice is driven by curiosity, and a desire for reflection and an exploration of emotions and meaning. Over time, this process can lead to a greater sense of clarity, connection, and confidence grounded in acceptance.

There comes a point in our lives when things feel like they're getting on top of us. Strategies we relied on no longer work. Or, we feel that something is holding us back from leading a vibrant and fulfilling life. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space to make sense of your life and connect with yourself in a way that will help you to heal. Different things work for different people. Some of us are used to talking about our feelings; some of us are not. Others need images, music, objects and creative ways to help us capture an experience and connect with deeper feelings. I tailor my approach to the person I am with.
