These include different forms of anxiety, depression, psychosis, post traumatic stress, emotional dysregulation, and interpersonal difficulties.
I am an experienced and committed clinical psychologist and enjoy working with my clients as much today as when I first started out over 11 years ago. The thing I appreciate most in my work is seeing my clients' self-understanding and sense of mastery grow. I work in a compassionate, committed, and collaborative way with the main aim of supporting clients to bring about change in their lives. In terms of the specific therapeutic approaches I use, I draw on different evidence-based models and adapt to my clients' needs; the ultimate goal is for clients to take forward and diversify learnings beyond therapy.

I have worked in mental health within the NHS for over 10 years, working with a range of difficulties including; trauma, PTSD, OCD, depression, anxiety, eating disorders and psychosis.
There may be many reasons why you are finding life more difficult at the moment. This could be longstanding problems or perhaps something you've noticed more recently. You may want to understand why this is happening to you and what has contributed to this in order to be able to make differences in how you feel or the things that you may be doing or not doing. Each person is unique and whatever may be going on, I can support you in understanding the root of these difficulties and then help to make life long changes in order for you to make the most out of your life moving forward.

My experience spans psychosis therapy, autism care, and career training, using psychoanalysis to explore unconscious dynamics and support lasting change
Life’s uncertainties and challenges can often feel overwhelming, leaving you with feelings of anxiety, confusion, or stagnation. You may have a specific reason for seeking therapy—perhaps anxiety, a sense of disconnection, or recurring challenges in relationships. Alternatively, you might be experiencing a more general unease, a feeling that something isn’t quite right, even if you can’t quite identify why. Many of us struggle with the weight of expectations—from family, society, or even ourselves—and find it difficult to live in a way that feels like our own.

My clients have presented with difficulties such as anxiety and depression, severe trauma, abuse, phobias, personality disorders, psychosis, relationship difficulties, attachment, bereavement and identity issues.
I am an integrative practitioner which means that my practice is influenced by more than one approach. In my work I focus on adapting the best-suited approach to your individual needs. This might entail helping you find coping strategies to address specific symptoms or assisting you to increase understanding of yourself and your relationships with others. I am also using DIT model (Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy) which is a 16 sessions time limited therapy aiming to identify and change unhelpful patterns affecting your important relationships and professional achievements.

Besides practising privately, I have provided talking therapies and/or support in various mental health settings, including specialist services working with psychosis ( Psychosis Therapy Project), racial trauma (USEMI Clinic), suicide (The Listening Place), and higher education (CGLAS).
The reasons for starting psychotherapy are deeply personal and unique to each person. You might be facing a major life event, such as a loss or breakup, or struggling with symptoms like panic attacks, eating disorders, addictions, or sexual issues. You might be concerned about a personal, romantic, or work relationship. It’s also possible that you feel uncertain about what’s troubling you, yet still experience an underlying sense of depression, or confusion about your identity and desires. In all these instances, psychoanalytic therapy can help you uncover the root causes of your struggles to create personal and lasting solutions.

Psychotherapies move in and out of fashion as their claims and practises come in for reassessment and challenge. Psychoanalysis, the grandfather of all "talking cures", is no exception but it does seem as if, once again, it is having its moment as new studies and research offer evidence that it can provide for a change that endures. And it does so without providing the assurances of the quick-fix or the painless option but through a close and attentive listening and analysis of the nuances of your ties to others, the crucial relationships that might form (or undo) us.

At times we all feel like we’ve lost hope. The hope that things can improve, the hope our distress will reduce and the hope that we’ll feel less alone. But that hope is never gone for good, and we just need someone to help us find it again. Whether you are struggling with stress, relationship difficulties, past trauma, anxiety, depression or things that you just can’t make sense of, I can help. At times I will guide you, but most importantly I endeavour to support and empower you to take control of your own mental health and instil a renewed sense of hope and emotional wellbeing in a safe and compassionate space.

What’s the most effective treatment for psychosis?

The most effective treatment for psychosis is coordinated specialty care. In this model, a team of professionals works with a patient to address all aspects of the underlying disorder. This approach incorporates individual or group therapy, employment and education support, family support and education, medication management (which often involves low doses of antipsychotics), and case management to facilitate problem-solving as needed.

When should people seek treatment for psychosis?

People should seek immediate treatment at the earliest indication of psychosis. Symptoms include delusions, hallucinations, disorganized or blocked speech, and agitated body movements. Early signs that a person may be developing a disorder that will lead to psychosis include suspiciousness of others, memory problems and distractibility, an inability to think clearly, rapid or nonsensical speech, withdrawal from friends or family, aggression toward others, and sensitivity to bright lights or noises.

What if psychosis is left untreated?

Without treatment, psychosis can have significant repercussions, including injuries, job loss, homelessness, financial or legal trouble, ruptured relationships, and suffering for the person and their family. While early treatment for psychosis often yields the best results, there is no point past which it becomes useless to seek treatment. At any point, treatment can make a difference.

How do I get someone else to seek treatment for psychosis?

It’s extremely difficult to watch a loved one suffer from hallucinations, delusions, and other elements of psychosis—sometimes exacerbated by their fears of treatment. Have a conversation with them in a quiet space and maintain a calm, supportive tone. Share your concerns about behaviors you’ve observed, suggest treatment, and explain the potential benefits. Listen carefully to their responses. The person may not be ready after one conversation, but with time, they may come around.
