I specialise in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, mood disorders, grief, relationship issues, emotional dysregulation, personality disorders, PTSD, phobias, eating disorders, addiction, and more.
If you're here, something inside you may be tired—tired of carrying worry, sadness, or memories that don’t fit your life. My job is to help. I offer a space where you can be fully yourself, with no judgment, no masks. We’ll move at your pace, using Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, and integrative approaches, but what matters most is the therapeutic connection between us. Healing isn't about being "fixed." It's about finding your way back to yourself with more kindness, strength, and hope.

I have worked in mental health within the NHS for over 10 years, working with a range of difficulties including; trauma, PTSD, OCD, depression, anxiety, eating disorders and psychosis.
There may be many reasons why you are finding life more difficult at the moment. This could be longstanding problems or perhaps something you've noticed more recently. You may want to understand why this is happening to you and what has contributed to this in order to be able to make differences in how you feel or the things that you may be doing or not doing. Each person is unique and whatever may be going on, I can support you in understanding the root of these difficulties and then help to make life long changes in order for you to make the most out of your life moving forward.

Living with OCD can be overwhelming.
My mission is to help you break free from intrusive thought loops and compulsions, so you can live life on your terms again. OCD often starts with unwanted thoughts or doubts that feel deeply distressing. While most people brush these off, those with OCD often get caught up trying to figure out what they mean—leading to compulsions that keep the cycle going.

I am happy to see clients on a short term basis (where I would normally work with the CBT model) or for longer where we can spend time looking at deeper issues and belief systems. I know the strategies that have worked for me, and I am passionate about being able to deliver these techniques to you, so that you can live a happier and more fulfilled life.

I am a BABCP accredited CBT therapist with expertise in evidence based treatment models for OCD, GAD, body dysmorphia, phobias, health anxiety, and PTSD.
Are you finding parts of life difficult, stuck in repeating patterns? Perhaps life is going fairly well on the surface, but there is this nagging part of you which feels anxious, sad or full of criticism? Inner struggles like this don't mean you're broken, they probably just mean you're human. The approach I use is grounded in the idea that the more we fight, avoid or ignore our unwanted experiences, the more entangled we tend to become in them. If you are tired of the same internal patterns showing up, my approach can help you to develop a kinder and more effective skillset, on how to understand and manage your human condition

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Counsellors

How long does OCD treatment take?

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?

Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?

Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine, fluoxetine, and sertraline, among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?

Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
