I have over 15 years experience of working with adults who come to me to talk about their relationship issues, difficulties from childhood, experiences of drugs and alcohol (own or a parent), anxiety and neurodivergence.
Are you feeling anxious, questioning who you are; why you do the things you do? Are you worried about how your behaviour is impacting your relationships, but you feel you cannot break these patterns? Are you finding that some childhood/past memories keep popping into your head? Are you questioning how you feel about them and how they may have impacted you? Are you yearning for love and acceptance, but find you push people away? Are you worried that you if you don't find a way to feel better about yourself that you'll go on hurting not only you but also those you love most?

I specialise in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, mood disorders, grief, relationship issues, emotional dysregulation, personality disorders, PTSD, phobias, eating disorders, addiction, and more.
If you're here, something inside you may be tired—tired of carrying worry, sadness, or memories that don’t fit your life. My job is to help. I offer a space where you can be fully yourself, with no judgment, no masks. We’ll move at your pace, using Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, and integrative approaches, but what matters most is the therapeutic connection between us. Healing isn't about being "fixed." It's about finding your way back to yourself with more kindness, strength, and hope.

In my practice, I warmly support individuals, couples, partners, and families navigating challenges like depression, anxiety, relationship issues, bereavement, and the distinct experiences of highly sensitive persons (HSP).
You feel stuck in repeating patterns—struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, or difficult relationships. Maybe stress is taking over, leaving you disconnected from yourself and others. You want to break free, understand your emotions, and feel more in control. You’re ready for change but unsure where to start. Your goal is clarity, confidence, and deeper, healthier connections. You seek a space where you can be heard without judgment and explore your thoughts and emotions with the right support to help you move forward.

I currently see both couples and individuals dealing with a huge variety of issues, working psychodynamically and systemically creating an empathetic, non-judgemental environment.
Born in the North of England, I emigrated to Australia with my family as a child, returning after a few years. I left for London in my late teens. My dyslexia, and not fitting in, had left me feeling as if I couldn’t learn and would have few job opportunities. In my town, I had two options: hairdressing or nuclear shipbuilding. I chose cutting hair and talking to human beings about their relationships. Working in West End salons, listening to clients’ stories, raising 4 children, and living with my husband with a terminal illness, gave me a deep understanding of human dynamics so I decided to retrain as a counsellor.

Couples Counselling

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
