That may be your very own sense of self, your relationships with others, or simply your ability to enjoy things in the way that you would like.
I offer individual therapy, both online and in person, and draw on some of the key ideas and principles from CBT and other related therapeutic approaches. My therapy will be based around your own personal experiences, and I encourage you to take a flexible and compassionate approach to yourself whilst we work together towards meaningful therapeutic goals.

You might be feeling anxious or flat, maybe you are experiencing unresolved grief, masking ADHD/ASD, feeling stuck and depressed, or perhaps you are unhappy or incongruent within your relationships (romantic, familial or friendship), whatever it may be, we can begin to acknowledge it together.
I help individuals unravel current and past complexities, delve deeper into identity, experiences, and behavioural tendencies, and confront relational challenges and patterns. For intimate partners, I help navigate desire, trust, and communication by interrupting real-time patterns and reflecting dynamics beneath conflict, all in a warm and welcoming space.

Anxiety around intimacy, relationships, or sexual concerns is incredibly common, and the overarching impact that these issues can have on your health and happiness is often underestimated and undervalued.
I use the integrative approach to help people to plant their seeds and break through these challenges. My approach involves forming a close working relationship to build a good understanding of your needs and the right methodology. We then work together, in holistic way that ensures you always feel safe, supported and at ease.

All of these may negatively affect your relationships, career, self-esteem and overall happiness, as well as your physical health.
As everyone’s story is different, therapy should be adjusted accordingly to meet your unique needs and circumstances rather than adopting a “one size fits all” approach. Being trained as a Clinical Psychologist means I am proficient in multiple therapeutic models, and can integrate them to provide a personalised and tailored approach to our work.

Couples Counselling Counsellors
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
